If anyone sees any big issues let me know, trying to improve stuttering in some sectors and fps in general. For example can I ask the game to use a larger chunk of ram rather than next to nothing. Also if I can allocate more video card power, I already have x3 running on my 4th core with most everything else running on 1-3. Any tips or suggestions are very welcome. Thank you in advance.

Nothing much wrong in the DxDiag. If using the AMD HDMI for sound then I would disable the RealTek onboard sound chipset and driver in Device Manager. If using the sound chipset then disable the AMD HDMI device and update to the latest 2012 Win7 x64 HD Audio driver from the RealTek site.

You could look at the free download tool Game Booster to manage and minimise background applications and services while playing X3. I do not normally recommend setting core affinity as the OS/BIOS does a better job of dynamic allocation and core swapping to balance stress and thermal core life and stability issues.

X3 exe uses a max of about 3.5 Gb RAM on an x64 OS with sufficient RAM fitted (as yours is). The game is cpu-limited rather than gpu-limited so cpu overclocking can help if the system remains stable under stress.

My system is at around 1.5-2gigs idle, but only 3 at most with X3 running. Is that normal? I mean the X3 taking 1gig for itself and total's at 3g?

PS. it's a weak board that will not allow OCing in it;s bios.

Yes yours is a RealTek sound chipset (0888) so download the latest 2012 Win7 x64 HD Audio driver from the RealTek site as I advised above. HP are poor at keeping their existing system recommended drivers up to date and concentrate on selling new systems instead.

Your use of 2 Gb RAM at idle seems odd when your graphics card is also idle. You perhaps need to clear out some unnecessary HP padding in their background running applications and services that they always see fit to encumber you with by default. As I said, Game Booster is good at that. At peak demand on an OS x64, X3 will use up to 3.5 GB RAM if available to it.
