If you're getting crashes from using the Reunion bonus pack, then it's a problem with your system. The BP is just a collection of user-made scripts that should never cause that kind of game crashes unless you've otherwise modified your game. Or perhaps you just have a bad download and the BP didn't install correctly. Anyway, the Bonus Pack is very stable with very few reported issues, most of which are related to other modifications to a player's game.

Just to be sure - the bonus pack is for X3R, not X3TC (the bonus pack for that is not released yet).ataribaby wrote:I should install Bonus Pack before or after 2.5 patch or it dosent matter? As Bonus Pack is dated 2007
Just thought I'd highlight that since you pointed out the 2007 date and if you were playing X3R the latest patch for that is also 2007...

I happen to be one of the few who (apparently) who is playing on a Mac.
I would like to use the Bonus Pack scripts, but don't have a Windows OS with X3 installed ... I have access to a Windows OS, but again the X3 game is on my Mac.
Is there a way to extract the scripts (the files for the X3/t directory), since they are just XML?
Failing that, can someone at least post a screenshot of the Afterburner MK1 script? I can hack together my own script in the editor, if I can just discover how the max ship speed is exceeded by a script ... unless of course it's 'cause I need to add a ware that allows this ... then I need the ware script as well.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, it looks like simply copying the PC files into the corresponding folders on the Mac (in Applications/X3 Terran Conflict/Data/scripts or .../t) is insufficient to have them loaded in the game. Jumping to Cho's Defeat doesn't show any of the Afterburner upgrades/wares available -- supposedly Split docks are where these are sold. Nor do any of the new scripts show up in the script editor, that I can see.
Given that the bonus files are .pck files (not really legible at the OS level) and the bonus scripts aren't loaded for viewing in the script editor (so can't be read and reentered manually), I'm still sort of stuck.
Any ideas on how to complete the load of the Bonus Pack materials on a Mac ... or how to turn the .pck files into something legible (like XML)? The Unix tools available from the X3editor author, will not compile on a Mac without errors. Yeah, been poking at this for a while.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to edit the TShips with X3editor file as well, but that's probably dreaming.
Even a repurchase of the game as a PC version doesn't seem to guarantee the modified files could be loaded on a Mac ... even if one wanted to buy it twice.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to get the bonus pack installed on an x3 copy that was purchased through steam?
(Steam doesnt have a "game" folder, it is a local cache file that contains the data for the game, from what i can tell, not exactly sure how this works, but I searched my hd for any thing labeled x3, nothing showed up as far as exe / x3 game folder)

You did post in X3R-related thread. It is highly unlikely to see a patch for X3R. (I think it is a pleasant miracle that X3TC got up to 3.0.)cq2234690 wrote:Thanks. Now we will wait patch for the game.
I also want to now is there any secrets in this bonus?Like Ships or something else?
Does the X3R Bonuspack bring in secret surprises? Oh yes.

Yes, a Readme xml file can be found in the game's main directory in the "description"-folder.

X3 reunion 2.0.02 disc bonus pack version
I have just bought X3 Reunion and the version it provides is 2.0.02, according to the installer. The bonus pack is included, along with the cockpit mod, model viewer, etc... I was wondering if the bonus pack on the disc is outdated by now? If so, I should probably install the one from this topic instead.
edit: Ah, nevermind. The version of the bonus package was specified on the bonus pack installer's filename itself, while browsing the disc. It was 3.1.05, so I guess I'm not installing that one.
