I've killed many ships in Getsu Fune and never received a message from the Split except when the Split were offering a bounty for the ship.

Are you sure the Split did not have a bounty against the ship you destroyed?

Nope, seen a lot of numbers and for the money a 7970 is better image quality for cheaper and higher performance unless you play Battlefield 3. The GTX680 wins at BF3, but most other real world benchmarks show the 7970 to be the better card overall. I'd assume this is due to the onboard CUDA cores dealing with all the physics.

Seemed to be fresh Xenon from the nearby sector... I cant be 100% sure if they had bounties on em, nor do i have Split police license if that makes any difference.

Edit: Not that this matters much, was just odd. I'l do some testing after weekend.

Hi Paul,

Found a problem with Strong Arms Weapons Dealer XL.
It's a death trap for me, flying a PX. There is no way I can undock with dying. Had to turn cheat NoCollisions on.

Cheers,
Martin

Thats a bug with the vanilla Split Huge Shipyard model that the XL dealer uses. If you undock using the autopilot it is fine. The launch tube is too small for the bigger M6s.

i've got a crash with X3TC. I've installed XRM 1.19e on a clean install of X3TC3.2. I've got a x3crash log saying:

any idea ?

thank's

This is caused by a conflict between Litcube's Missile Boat script which is included with the XRM and Missile Defence Mk 2.
I started getting these crashes also after upgrading 1.19d -> 1.19e. Played for a about a week crash-free before that.

To be sure, I have removed all mdmk2 scripts and game's still crashing (with same stack dump in the crash log as quoted above).

The only change (other than 1.19d->1.19e) I made was installing missile safety and mission notoriety adjustment pack.

Is there any way I can redownload 1.19d? Will be happy to downgrade and see if the crashes are continuing, but I stupidly deleted the file after downloading 1.19e.

EDIT: just noticed that missile safety also includes scripts which mess with turret commands, and since it's form the same author as mdmk2...
Will remove that as well, and see how it goes.

Im a massive Nvidia fan! but dont rush out and buy a gtx680 let the 6 series mature a bit and you will see better performing cards at a similar price in a few months.
I used to list PC parts here, but "the best" will suffice!

It has nothing to do with 1.19e update. There were no script changes between 1.19d and 1.19e.

As I said, this crash is not caused by the xrm at all, but a conflict involving litcube's missile script.

Tiek has emailed me his fix for this crash. I will post the files tomorrow so you can try it out. Hopefully it will fix things.

Yeah I think it might actually be missile safety scripts, like I said I have installed them as well.

Edited my previous post in the meantime, but u were faster ;).

Missile safety is also one of Gazz's scripts, so its likely causing the same conflict as mdmk2 with litcubes script.

Well that is the intention - although I think 1.20 will have a little more TC content - only because I can't really add it to AP without adding it to TC as well (at least without having two sets of scripts for each game which I don't want to get in to).
Thank you! :)

OK
1. sorry i forgot in my first post that no i am only running TC not AP and i don't think it is sector crowing i have had huge fleet battles in my home sector with a few stations built and have not had nearly as bad of drop, So far its Mars and a station in ATF Forseti that have caused it i have not too bad of drop any where else so far

2. I know the Q6600 is an older CPU and Vista's failings I am working on getting all the parts for a new I7 / windows 7 pro rig till then I need to push a little more out of this clunker.

3. as far as the GTX680 I am no fan boy but I do plan on getting one for said new rig (though it will be the last part ordered to let it mature some first).
I have had few of both ATI and Nvidia cards and I have seen that the last few ATI cards I have had to replace them more often then there equivalent Nvidia ones..
I.E. I had a Nvidia 8800 GTX when it was the big bad boy on the block and the only reason I had to replace it at the time I did was GTA: IV was the first game that really needed more then it's 512meg Vram, but i have not had this ATI 4870 nearly as long before i saw it having a hard time keeping up.
However my friends GTX 280 from about the same generation was humming right along...
after all is said and done ATI cards just seem to fall short in the long run.. Almost as if they push for the big numbers out of the gate but in useing lesser tech and/or manufacturing to keep there prices low they just don't have the stamina to keep it up, as they say "You get what you pay for"

Nvidia were complete and utter crap from 2002 - 2004

They were ok but inferior to ATI from 2004 - 2007

ATI sucked from 2007 - 2008

ATI got their act back together 2008 - 2009

Since then they are equal pretty much imo. Which is better depending on the coincidence of your purchase with the release of the next gen.

---

So yeah if you'd bought a 8800 in 2007 it would have lasted you a good long time. Ditto if you bought an ATI 9800 in 2002.

Luciandragos, I just went from 4890 (slightly overclocked 4870) to a 6950. The only reason I did was due to the card actually failing and I missed the 7970 window by about 2 months. Going on long haul from previous cards is a mistake, mainly because you can see the performance differential in the tests coming out on different gfx card test websites pretty easily.

The 680 is good below 1920x1080. For that res or higher the AMD's roll them, partially due to ram, partially due to architecture. Personally I'm not fan boy either way, I go with the best card at the time that I can afford and for my clients the best they can afford. Currently there is no reason to pay the premium for the 680. If the GK110 chip is so good why didn't Nvidia release it instead of the GK104 chip which is in the 680. To me it's just a reminder of the 400 series which quite rightly tanked due to not being ready to market. Nvidia have been getting sloppy and with a CEO focused on the Business Market and not their dominance of the gaming market this is showing through pretty hard now.

Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked but I don't feel like wading through almost 800 pages

Whenever I access the XRM bounty service I keep getting READTEXT errors.

Anything up with that?

readtext errors happen if you don't have a file installed in the T file folder (Usually this is the likely cause) like xxxx-L044

Hmmm...I thought I copied over everything in the t folder during my install, I'll do it again just to make sure

EDIT: Yup, reinstalled the entire t folder and still getting readtext errors

odd... I would suggest getting a screenshot in game of the bounty your seeing and then posting it up. Visual keys help and also posting the mods and other scripts you have would go a long way in helping
