A pizza in Germany goes for between 8 and 20 euro's depending on size, quality and location. Be sure not to pick a place which will give them food poisoning
On topic: The screen looks nice. I hope you can outfit your mines with sensor scramblers. Also smart mines would be a nice addition. Tripping of one mine alerting would alert the ones in proximity so that can swoop in if you survive the initial mine exploding.
If they are standard proximity mines in a systematic 3D minefield then they look rather too close together and too prone to systematic fratricide or displacement on any other mine event.
Has anyone considered that we might just be looking at the equivalent of a secure parking lot or a police stolen/impounded ship compound? You would need lane discipline and intelligent parking buoys and sensor identifiers to show what is to park where and how to get there, plus some defences against ship-stealing. OK that is maybe a bit tongue-in-cheek.
Am I the only one to really like that an explanatory text accompanied the screenshot? I definitely hope this will be a recurring feature. Too often with the SotW for TC, I found myself thinking, "Wow, that's really neat! I wonder what the heck it is." Even more, the SotW thread prior to X3's release quickly grew tiresome what with all the "OMG! What kind of ship is that??" posts.
I realize the game isn't out yet (shoot, even the release date isn't out yet) and that the point is to torment...er...whet our appetites without spoiling dinner, so I'm certainly not suggesting that any surprises be revealed. I think the bit included in the OP is great. If you show us a ship later, for example, it can't hurt to specify whether it's a M5 or a M8. Right? If you show us a picture of a sector (or whatever they're called in Re-birth), maybe simply identify which Hubble photograph was used for the background. I, for one, think it's adds a lot.

I seriously hope that along with the awesome mine field that we'll have to enjoy, we can also travel to the majestic planetary debris in the back and take a peek at it's innards....

Well all I have to say is...Thank god you can see the damn mines now so you can avoid them. Instead of the typical "wtf just happened?". THAT looks intimidating... instead of the pin sized squash mines that fried you instantaneously in anything equipped with less then 200mj.
When can we expect a new screenshot? I hope it's today, but also what time? I'm in a different timezone and I'll probably be asleep when it's posted. lol
looking at egosofts dayly routine in the x-universe news, they don't even start working before 10 or something..
so i expect to see it in 3 hours from now..
In X Rebirth stations will consists of different modules, which you can upgrade with different elements. For example with shield generators or weapon systems. Even modules to increase the communication range were already mentioned. Another module type can be seen here: A Pump Station to increase the efficiency when processing and transporting liquids, such as water or fuel. That means there are not only station modules for attacking and defending, but also to increase the productivity of stations. Another game element for those that like the "THINK"-part of the game.
What kind of other station modules you can think of?
