Albion prelude is broken

Ok i was in a dog fight and i fired my last missile only to find out that my last missile was more like my last million missiles. You'd think that would be cool. But there's a down side every single Npc has the same gliche.

As i type this my game is laging so badly from the sheer number of NPC's firing millions of missiles that I cant do any thing. This is bull shit. The last time i saved was hours ago.

I cant even close my map! My mini map is one big red box! This game is broken as hell.

I didnt say everyone's game was broken just mine.

And some moderator better not come in here and say reinstall.

I'v been playing this game for 3 days. This glitch just started up a few hours ago. At first it happened rarely. Now it happens all the time. I am not going to restart.

my guess would be to uninstall, manually do a search for EGOSOFT to make -sure- everything is gone, and then reinstall.

Do you have ANY IDEA how much EFFFORT i put in to this game. I am not going to restart a week's worth of play time because the developers didnt beta test right.

If they dont fix this i should get my money back I didnt break the game they did and before some one asks no i did not mod my game.

You DON'T need to restart - the game save files are in your documents/egosoft folder. They are not in your games directory.

Reinstaling is not going to help if the problem is with the save files. Even if i reinstall the problem might be saved along with my game.

out of curiosity, did you leave the game on? More to the point, did you get the new patch that came out yesterday? You would need to restart steam if you did not. Just a thought since you mentioned lag.

I restarted my computer so yes i restarted steam. If any thing it's that new steam patch thats causing the problems.

I'm going to Reinstall my game. But if i loes my saves or the problem is not resolved, im done.

As i said this glitch is game breaking. Cant play something that is broken. Some might say i could just restart and i could. But what happens if i invest another week in the game to only have the same problem.

It's all or nothing.

back up your saves first just in case. They are usually in the document/egosoft folder

I have reinstalled the game and the problem still exixts. The game is also crashing now. I put 95 hours into the game and a weeks worth of free time.

I'd like to thank Egosoft for ****** me over and good bye.

I'm having the same glitch. The game worked just fine until the new patch installed. My hyp has been destroyed twice so far by a rapier shooting 8 million poltergeist missiles. I think the glitch only affects swarm missiles though.

Are you using a previous game save? Maybe its an issue to old games loosing some compatibility......

I dont have that isssue...but i started a brand new game after the patch... Might try using my old saves.

I'm sorry that you are having trouble. I haven't played much of AP yet (Skyrim) so I hope I don't run into these things. Wish I had a solution but I do not. At least you can fall back to a previous save. I know how much that sucks. I had to do that numerous times in mass effect 2, and that game erased my characters stats too!
