Q:
Will there be any more/better ways of getting information in/out of the game?
(E.g. sockets (even if only text->udp via the local host), named pipes, or even just straight text disk IO(not through t-files))

Will the Pride of Albion (love the name btw) have a customisable interior? you know like we could change our ships colour with the PHQ in X3.

Thanks!
What do you mean you didn't do it? I just saw you! Now say sorry to the nice Boron...

Q:
Will there be natural/technical catastrophes? Fusion reactor going critical on a station, meteor (shower) etc ... and will you be able to exploit that? For instance by providing expensive medical units.

Will the virtual reality environment system on board the Albion Pride let you control ships as well as drones?
1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

And what about turrets from stations and other ships? you mentioned that you could control even torpedoes with VR... does this apply to station and ships Hardpoints?

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, I'm going to take (and credit) a few questions from this thread (And some others) and send Bernd another interview email. I'll post a link when, or if, he responds :D

This interview will also have some questions about AP. So hopefully I can get some good answers!

Hi Seon...I have been in contact with Bernd and he is coming to this thread to answer questions already posted here. To be fair to all, Bernd should pick the questions.

Stay tuned...

Jerald, me sending this interview might hold the chance for him answer more questions. Or offer up one as a 'appetizer' as he works on the main course ;).

There are a lot of questions in this thread, and due to this he might not answer all the questions. Me sending the email holds the chance that he might answer different questions from this thread.

I'm KloHunt3r's evil twin and I've stolen his account to ask my question.

How exactly will the game be designed to better accommodate third-party modifications?

Also ponies are stupid.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

I'll help out by injecting a bit of CCPism into the thread:

Soon™

which, if running like CCP does, could mean tomarrow, or 18 months from now.

Actually, Bernd and I scheduled this back during the Christmas break, he wanted to do it the 2nd week of January which is this week.

There is probably a reason why he picked that time frame, I would give it a few days, with the Release so close, I'm sure he has a hectic schedule he has to deal with.

Don't read anything into that, it's just my educated guess that we will see it sometime this year, hopefully soon.
