getting CD key out of steam

not a bash steam post, but I'd like to register my copy of AP on the forum, and I realised I don't have the 4-block CD key, nor can I see any way of getting it out of steam.

Does anyone have a suggestion how I can retrieve the key from Steam, or elsewhere?

This isn't possible yet. But it's being worked on. In any way you should have still access to all forums with your X3TC registration code.

I just wanted to add my name to the list of people wanting to register my steam version of AP. I have avoided useing steam for many years (I am not bashing those that use it, I just dont like the service is all). I have passed up games I really liked because they required steam. When it came to another X game, I couldnt wait, I had to grab it off of steam. I hope Egosoft is happy, you all ruined my track record of not useing steam

I just bought the DLC version of AP (I already have TC in Steam). There isn't a register your game option in the right click menu as there is for TC - so no way to get a key?

Same here, I have had X3:AP since the 15th but there's still no 'Register your Game' option like there is for X3TC. Perhaps Steam has cached some information about the game locally and it's going to take a while to update it and make the option available?

nope, sorry chaps. Tried verifying the cache, no difference - no 'register your game' menu item like I have on my TC install.

I also cannot get a registration code specifically for X3AP at the moment. However, I do not think there is any real need to be able to register X3AP separately with these forums once you have registered X3TC/SuperBox as they will continue to share a joint Tech Sp forum that only requires registration once. Future update and downloads for X3AP will be enabled by your ownership of it on Steam. I do not know what may change when a retail copy is released next year.
