free Albion prelude? Not for my X Superbox purchase

How do I go about getting the Albion prelude offer? I'm logged into steam, using the steam program to view the Albion prelude store page, and it doesn't say it's free. Any help would be awesome thanks!

Exit your Steam client completely and restart it. The game should appear directly in your Games Library. No need to go to the store page at all.

Tried that, Tried rebooting, tried logging out, then exiting the steam client. I'm gettin antsy heh.

Just wish I knew how to get it done, I see that other people are getting it for free, and I'm broke so a freebie of a game I LOVE is making my xmas.

Give Steam a little time. I'm sure it will sort itself out. You are definitely entitled to a free copy.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Just wait a bit for steam to figure itself out, sometimes it takes a while to handle all this stuff.

leave it be folks. have steam set to automatically d/l updates for your gme and it goes automatically. i thought i was having the same issue but just restarted and it was d/ling and was at 88% when it showed up

So it has appeared directly in the libraries of superbox owners? Might be a time zone/sync thing. Guess I'll go to sleep or watch the Daily Show, and if it's not there in the morning I'll just shell out the $9.99. EgoSoft's more than earned it.

Same problem here with me

Only the owners of X Superbox get it for free. The rest need to spend $10 to get it on steam.

1 hrs and it still won't show up in my steam library. And yes, I am a superbox owner.

Yeah i'm a superbox owner and it hasn't shown up yet either but thats probably cos i'm from the uk.

Usually when im expecting an update on steam it doesn't appear until the afternoon. Maybe this should appear a little sooner as it's not an update exactly but i still wouldn't expect it to appear just yet.

It seems pretty random... I got the Superbox a while back, and still no sign of AP downloading. The "Buy game" is taunting me.

Try clicking on a few of your other games - it appeared for me after doing that. Only a four minute download too

hehe no danger, i thought i was the only guy who played X-games from around this neck of the woods!

Anyway it has indeed downloaded for me as well now but im left with a dilemma...

I'd love to stay up and play it for a good while and get really stuck into it but i've got court in the morning at 10am so if i do this there is a chance i could crash out and miss it or if i make it i'll look like s**t.

I know what i'm like when i start playing this game, it totally sucks me in and the house burns downs and the weans starve without me realising so it looks like i'll have to leave it until i get back from court (if i dont get jailed)

... on second thoughts maybe i should just have a wee shot...

hello, i own the x-superbox i know im entitled to AP. one question though, i bought by coincidence the x-superbox no more than 3 days before AP was announced... am i within the limit of the offer? cuz i know there is some delay when getitng it from steam but, am i waiting in vane for steam tos tart the download?
