Sorry more questions:
I am using a mac, and I just downloaded the very easy HUB cheat. In the instructions it says to unzip it to the X3tc directory, but the folder structure for the mac is slightly different. Should it just stay in the Director folder on the top level of the X3tc stuff, alongside folders such as 'Resources', 'Framework'?

That link just seems to send me to an empty web page rather than downloading the fileapricotslice wrote:I've uploaded just the xml.heratik wrote:Is there a .zip version of the 'PHQ and Military Outpost at Boron shipyard' script somewhere? I am on a mac, so can't use the plug-in manager, and can only find this as a .spk file on your site.
TIA
setup.apricot.PHQ.MO.xml. Copy it to the scripts folder manually.

Which link exactly ?
Click on the download link in my signature to get the download site. Click on the file. If that doesnt download, then right click and save as on the file.
There were some host site changes recently. And that particular site suffered. Its got a fix in, but xml may not be covered. Right click, save should work though.
Just check after that the extension was included on the name, if not, rename it to an xml before using.

It works, but you need to put the .spk back on the end of the download name, or it will save it as a generic file with no extension.jamafish wrote:hmm, right-click save as doesn't seem to work for the PHQ at boron shipyard spk file. guess we have to wait for your host to sort itself out.
spk being a specific game file type, is something I cant get the host to include. Zips they understand. But spk's they dont and wont bother to.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

nope, when I try to right click and save target as for the file, I don't even get to a screen where I can try to download anything. I just get a message:
Unable to download...PHQ-MO-in+Boron-Shipyards.spk from apricotmappingservice.com.
Unable to open this Internet site. the requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.

The right click option I use is "Save Link as".jamafish wrote:nope, when I try to right click and save target as for the file, I don't even get to a screen where I can try to download anything. I just get a message:

The message your getting seems to indicate that you have a bandwidth blockage between you and the site.
I cant reproduce it, and I'm not getting any error messages that the site is down, so its most likely a blockage.
Email me and I'll send the file to you as an attachment.

If you have the script in the correct folder, then it should execute as soon as you start the game.
It should be in the Kingdoms End shipyard straight away.
If you downloaded the xml file, check if it still has its .xml extension on it. If it doesnt, then redownload and manually add the extension into the name first. If the .xml isnt there, the program wont recognise it.
There is a glitch on my site now where some extensions are not recognised. So you need to add them to the name manually before you hit the download button.

Thx for the reply. But after several attempts still no signs of PHQ in "Kingdom end" shipyard.
Right, here is how I understand this:
_right click on the "setup.apricot.PHQ.MO.xml" link
_Save link as
_Add ".xml" to file name "setup.apricot.PHQ.MO" before hitting SAVE.
_at this point, although I added the .xml extention before saving, the file name is still "setup.apricot.PHQ.MO"
_I add once again the .xml to it.
_copy and paste it to folder: egosoft/TerranConflict/Scripts
_Close all folders and launch game.
_load last SAVE
_go to shipyard in Kingdoms End...No PHQ!!!
HEEEEEELP!!!! PLEEEEEASE!!!
NB: just remembered to mention this.
Before starting VANILLA, I installed and played TRANSCEND 2 for a while, with the exact same scripts. I then uninstalled Transcend 2 only. And started a new VANILLA game...any relevance???
Thx for help Apricotslice, you're the MAN!!!

Transend handles the installation of the mod totally differently. Otherwise I know nothing about it.
I would suggest you ask the Transend team if the uninstall removes everything that could interfere with the PHQ script.
I dont know why it would, but if the uninstall doesnt remove everything it installed, then there could be some conflict going on.
re the .xml, in windows vista and 7, windows explorer doesnt append the extension to the file name but uses it to display the extension type in another collumn. So check that column, and if it says "file", then its lost the .xml. Try renaming it and see what happens. It should show up as the file name and then in the other column be labled as an xml type of file.

I cant see a problem there.
Can you do the same thing only with an alpha list, so I can see all of the setup scripts together. (That list was in date modified order).
Also, do you have anything at all in the types folder ? Normally there shouldnt be one for a vanilla game, so anything in there could be the problem. especially if you say have a modified tdocks file in there. A pic of that folder might help as well.
