EJ's Mod-for-a-Mod XTC Gamestarts

Compatible only with the Xtended mod.

Adding this mod to Vanilla TC will cause !!CHAOS!!.

Sneaky Smuggler - Teladi - X-Treme
For the past few wozuras you've successfully smuggled 'luxury commodities' between the new and old sectors. If the Terrans knew you were using their gate...

Humble Merchant - Argon - Not all that hard
Herron's Nebula wasn't as profitable as you hoped, and now you turn to the new world...
________

Yaki General - Boron Yaki - Hard
Peaceful!? You didn't get where you were today through peace. You are the shadows, you have claimed many lives. Now time to claim a few more.

Solaran Soldier - Aldran - Hard
All your life there has only been Solara. Then the Terran's came back... now you find your space filled with disgusting alien races!

Trapped Priest - Paranid - VHard (This is the damaged ship no SETA one!)Unholy pirates tried to steal these holy relics! You fought bravely, but your ship is highly damaged. If you survive, His Holiness will surely reward you greatly!

I'm working on some other ideas too, as you can see many here are xtreme or a bit of a joke... There'll be more average ones! I think with the standard XTC ones too most areas will be covered.

I added Humble Trader due to popular request... one person demanding it.

Because it uses data from XTC and scripts for XTC and is made for XTC and it will cause Chaos. :P

I feel I must make a note that although it says TODAY! it may not be out today, or in fact tomorrow. I've realised due to the shift in ships in general I may have to get a better feeling of what would be right to start with. This is also combined with not quite knowing what relations I should use for different starts, and as a buffer before release for any suggestions.

I hope you understand. ;)

with minimal equipment:
Slow M5 -> very hard
Fast M5 (Split Jaguar for example) ->not so hard


With M5 you cant really trade something, except e-cells
Fast M5 can fight and make personal transports, slow are not really good for that

slow M4 -> medium
slow m4+ -> not hard
fast m4 -> easy

With M4 you can already trade L1 food, some L2 food and some Tech wares, Fast M4 and M4+ can fight too. Slow can't fight in the beginning in missions because they cant catch the fast M5

m3 and bigger: easy

dont agree with the m3 being easier... even M6 starting out in a game like that and the pesky m5's at 300ms = swear fest and they will run from you..missiles i hear u scream....... easily shot down by them.

but back on topic u may want to add starting ship type and make, also starting creds to your 1st post more info for down-loaders is nice

That's really awesome idea - custom starts for XTC.

I'd like to see something equivalent to X2 Extreme: Disco with 75 of max speed (damaged hull), no weapons, no equipment, no seta, with 50 Cr, starting in a long distant sector :)

Making monies for SEta by selling 4-5 ecells or 1 piece of beef for a long period of time would revive many good memories from X2 :) Just think about it ;)

Release may be delayed again... will check V1.1 changes for anything which may matter.

Also will add a Seta free start due to it seeming a popular request, and a few more starts with basic fighter craft for some other races, including an Aldran start.

Updated first page. Got bored and started doing some tests, can confirm that Serious Split, for example, is not only fun trading but still challenging, requires exploration and good thinking, isn't as easy as say Humble Merchant in v. TC, etc.

Forgot about the clock change meaning I've actually got until an hour before I posted that.

The bad news is, there's some issues which seem to make no sense at the moment.

The good news is, I can remove them until further notice, and almost all the gamestarts will then work successfully. :D

Please feel free to post more ideas and such! I need more ideas!

EDIT: Hit some other setback, eurgh. Expect to release tomorrow. Trying to solve a problem that has no obvious cause.
Actually, scratch that, trying to solve 2 problems which have no obvious cause. Fun.

If you're actually thinking of giving this a go, please post suggestions, or just to say that you will be, so I can get an idea of how speedily I need to get this version out.
