Just their military vessals and military stations are red. And actually they are attacking my other vessals, although not my vessal.

I can board at any of their civilian stations but their military outposts are red and wont let me board and some of their military vessals are red. Its very strange.

Also I did start this game as the bankrupt assassin, and the boron and Paranid hated me in the beggining of the game and basically attacked me on sight. But i worked hard to improve relations. Now both of them show very good relations with me, but their still acting hostile with not letting me dock at their military places, and some of their ships showing up red and some of them attacking me, but just the paranid and boron, the 2 races that hated me at the beginning.

Actually I wonder if its just the ships and stations that were added with the mod? Maybe thats why only those are red?

Just so weird, just went through a paranid gate, and there was a red paranid big transport which my mars and ADS attacked , i was in a carrier, and yet the other paranids did nothing. And Mars says detect no threats yet half my guns started firing at it.

Edit:

Ok definitly has something to do with the ship IDs. I just flew into a paranid sector, and i was driving my carrier. I hopped into my mamba which was docked into my carrier and as soon as I fly in the mamba everything turns red, like everything in the sector, but when I get back in the frigate its all normal again.

if you have cheat package try "Fix sector relations" and also you may want to edit military outposts status to you ( set relation to you option )

do you use XRM ? and another script which may change jobs files, you may reset all jobs files if you are using XRM.. also some kill all ships in the universe script may help your problem..

But if an outpost is enemy to you, MBRR wil set all of the ships belongs to that outpost turn as enemy to you.. so check those enemy outpost to friendly status from cheats..

( there is a military outpost at argon 148 and only way to turn it back to friendly status after you are allowed to roam in that sector is to cheat it

Are the symptoms of this menu bug like I describe in the quote above? i.e. what happens when you "Reset options to default" and whether the options work, it's just the text that is screwy?

For Xenon, you need to look in your AL plugin menu, not the Community Config menu. I'll see if I can make an option to enable/disable an AL plugin from the main config menu, but for now you will have to look in the AL plugin menu separately.

OK, this makes a little more sense to me. The military outposts themselves don't fix their relations regularly, like patrol ships do. So I will look at fixing this. In the meantime, as cptANGRIST said, you can use the cheat scripts to fix relations, or if necessary destruct the stations/ships, and hopefully they will respawn friendly.

It just appears that the text is screwy, if you ''reset options to default'' its fine, but when you save then load the game again it goes back to the same screwy text...

This is after i unistalled 2.14 and then reinstalled 2.15, even going to the trouble of uni stalling 2.14 it in the game before hand hoping it would correct itself with the 2.15 update!

As for the Xenon bases....its ok i have worked it out (sometimes you just cant see the obvious wood for the trees with this games interface :wink: )

Ok thanks for the tips guys, I will try when I get home. I also deleted the game completely and reinstalling everything and hopefully that helps, and yes I was also playing with XRM.

Hmm. Need to compare the logic in the reset script and the setup script. Looks like the bug is in setup.whatever if it comes back after a load.

Hey im getting a hard program lock freezing the entire game within 3 seconds of loading an existing game or starting a new one if military bases is activated.. I'm not sure why this is, the mods im using are XRM 1.10 , npc bailing addon, and several script libraries. Any ideas?

The only thing I could think of, is I had IR installed previously vie the x universe plugin manager but made sure to uninstall it before installing this one, but even so I started a new game so im not sure why it would cause a hard lock maybe leftover files from install?

installing XRM causes game freeze up some time at the first start of a new game/new install.. so xrm propably doing that to your game..

it will take some time for xrm to launch all jobs, fill stations and setup universe , also mbrr starts some jobs , so it may take longer for your game start to work fluently.. (2-3 minutes. not 10..)
i have seen that FreeLancer game.. (yes that was a game..)

I know, when I first tried XRM without Militray bases, it froze for about 30 seconds, when I try to start a new game with Military bases, it freezes indefinitely, also in task manager the program appears non responsive. I tried starting a new game, getting it to load, THEN activating Military base response, but that still ends with a hard lock within 3 seconds of the game being loaded, whether its a new save or not.

it sound like an endless loop of a script. :(

i had one ... one of that boarding scripts were ruining my game,,
i uninstalled all, made a fresh x3 v3.1 than loaded in a particular order..
and every step i checked scripts running without problem 10minutes ingame..

:) i hope you can fix that crashing problem..
i have seen that FreeLancer game.. (yes that was a game..)

@HotSake: good point. I'll look at the setup script, but since I am unable to reproduce this particular bug it may make figuring it out difficult.


@Ragemaster9999: does it happen as soon as you install the plugin, or after you hit 'install/update', or after you enable/disable a particular option?

Do you have the latest version of JSON parser library? Having an older version could easily cause a lockup, but only when playing with the config menu.

If it doesn't happen until you hit 'Install/update', then go to the bottom of the config menu 'Debugging' and enable it before hitting 'Install/update'. That will enable infinite loop checks in various locations, as well as creating a debug log that could help find the bug.

It happens when I install the plugin using the x plugin spk manager. If i run the game with the spk active, it freezes within 3 seconds regardless if its a new game im starting or an old save im loading. The only way to fix it is to disable the entire mod on the plugin manager.

Hey, I have a few questions:

1) When a sector is taken over will factories and alike be rebuilt? If not then the economy would surely grind to a hault?

2) Can pirates take over sectors? if not then surely the pirate faction would be wiped out if you allow pirate sector takeovers

3) Does an invasion simply just warp in and have a battle and then leave or does it keep going till all buildings are destroyed and then leave?

Yeah factories are rebuilt, but it is a only cursory implicit reflection of the economy, no in-depth analyses of economic needs (and thus station choices) are made.

No pirates can't take sectors. Yes, the are screwed. BUT there is hope...

1) You can install Serial Kicked's Pirate Guild, which gives the military a run for their money, but doesn't retake sectors (yet?) - I like to leave Pirates for Serial Kicked, since Pirate Guild is already an awesome script.

2) The config menu has options to disallow taking pirate sectors. Also, if you want, you can disallow any invasion of a pirate sector.

The will continue on to stations as well, wipe out the sector.

Hi ThisIsHarsh,

I started a new game with 2.15 and XRM 1.11 the other day...all is going well, default settings bar relations:

Argon - Boron - Friends
Argon - Paranid - Grudge
Boron - Split - hate
Paranid - Boron - Grudge.

However, once again, the Boron and Argon are fighting whenever their ships are together. It's worst in Getsu Fune, so maybe crossfire there but would expect them to kiss and make up really!
