Interesting. Used google to search the whole forums, found the thread but was then told by the forum software it does not exist. Hmmm....

Well if this is the new music thread, then how about this beautiful piece to get it going...

Patrick Cassidy - Vide cor meum
Incredible. Also you might recognise it from the movie Hannibal. Also I'm actually having a bit of a deja vu moment because I'm sure I posted this like last week or something in the previous music thread. Oh well, it's nice anyway

Too late logan! I beat you to it with a link to Pink Floyd and Comfortably Numb!
Heres another one to match my mood:

Heres another to match:
http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=pin ... FORM=VIRE5
Should I be listening to Floyd whilst I feel down? Probably not.
Could the previous thread have been stopped because of copyright issues?

I was posting at the time it went the way of all things, and the message I received was that the topic was locked, but it had been removed - as if a spammers post was being removed, much like the "SETI units" thread did.
But if it has gone.
Check that the batteries in your pacemakers are in good order, before watching this Indian classic, which caused a stir when relesed.

Maybe it was too big to be handled properly anymore by the small forum running imps ...
Anyways, whatever: Scooter - Awakening ... their best song ... without Baxter destroying it with lyrics.

... what is a drop of rain, compared to the storm? ... what is a thought, compared to the mind? ... our unity is full of wonder which your tiny individualism cannot even conceive ... I've heard it all before ... you're saying nothing new ... I thought I saw a rainbow ... but I guess it wasn't true ... you cannot make me listen ... I cannot make you hear ... you find your way to heaven ... I'll meet you when you're there ...

But ... something with real depth and Roger Waters' whole genius in writing lyrics: Two Suns in the Sunset

Three tracks - very much of their time, but none the worst for that.
Cerrone - Supernature 1977
Donna Summer - I Feel Love 1977
Giorgio Moroder - From Here to Eternity 1977
--
A George Martin masterpiece from Abbey Road, the ending gets me everytime.
The Beatles - I Want You (She's So heavy)

You're welcome and as for the Tull, you could not escape Aqualung in the early seventies, to the point of hating the very mention of it.greypanther wrote:Goodness me I was 10 in 77 and remember that Donna Summer track playing on the radio! Thanks for making me feel old terre!![]()

A bit a of a favorite track, I also like the Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood version.
The chap that put this video together did a beautiful job. The way that they finish this can make you jump, especially when listening on ear goggles.

Vanilla Fudge - Some Velvet Morning
Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood - Some Velvet Morning
Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang

Just to add a bit of modernism to the party: Arion/Skylar Grey - Coming Home - I love this song with a passion. So relaxing. Perfect for laying back with my headphones on and forgetting the world.
Not that I don't like the music you guys have linked, it's good honest music just not quite something I find soothing at this point in time.
Edit: If you give it a listen, listen to it to the end (720p gives better sound quality too) and hopefully you'll see what I mean.
