Hi dudes. Figured you dudes might find this useful. I think the Missions give wonky notoriety rewards. So I tried to go and prove it. I made a mission that sets your notoriety to 0. Then spits out a message telling you what the Mission Director's pre-balanced notoriety rewards are. Pre-balanced notoriety rewards are what the mission directors generic missions all use. So if you had an "easy" mission, it'd give you the same notoriety as the data my test mission here spit out.
I think the notoriety reward system is fubar. According to this data, you do 30 "average missions", and you're a Federation Hero. If they're combat missions, even less.
Here's the test used to generate the data below.

*EDIT: Also, looks like once you hit noritiety 1000 with a race, it doesn't matter what mission type you do, trivial or impossible, you get the same reward!

Well, this explains why reputation is so easy to manipulate. I've created a topic in tech support for this bug.

According to admins in the L3 forum tech support is where it is supposed to go. It is not an issue with the patch it is older than that. Feel free to cross link it there too if you want thoughapricotslice wrote:Raise it in the L3 forum for beta testing the next patch. More likely to get some attention there. imo.
Tech support isnt for gameplay issues.
