Yes update to 3.1 by downloading the patch from the downloads section, specially if you didn't do the Balance of Power plot yet.

However I just started TC the other day (as downloaded from Steam - cause i couldn't find it in stores). THe check for updates also say nothing available. Should I download this patch as well? Where do I save it? Are their instructions? Do I deserve to die for asking these probably basic questions? (sorry, like I said, I am new at this, and this is one of my first computer games. I am hooked though - 9 hours in, and I think I forgot to feed my fish cause they look like those boron now....floating upside down)...

If you've completed it successfully then you have nothing to worry about. If you haven't started it yet, the patch will fix a couple of issues which affected some players.

With regards to the Steam achievement that is wrong. I would have to restart to get the achievement even though it is "fixed" now.

Just dropping in to catch the news. Seeing a 'last patch' for X3 makes me all teary eyed. The patches have been incredibly good for such an incredibly good game. Thanks EGO for bringing everything to the party. We'll supply the pizza next time (hastily checks Google Maps to locate nearest pizza parlor to Ego HQ).

Thanks for the new update.....been hoping for more patches...and hopefully this isnt the end this is an awesome game and please dont let the series end.... I would definetly buy a new X3 Universe release

Should i wait for Impulse to show the update before updating or manually install the 3.1 patch which shows a different path for the file than the game is installed in?

I seem to have a problem, I bought X3TC from impulse and when I load the impulse ui it says in games that I have X3TC 3.1

Yet when I load the game, it says 3.0 on the panel

Which is right?

I would just like to thank EgoSoft for this game. I came into the X series with X3 TC, and it is an amazing game. I've spent so many hours playing this game, and am continually amazed by how BIG it feels
