Actually, I don't believe I've seen much off-topic at all in this thread - including what you've said X2-Eliah.

This thread is unusual, in that the subject is sort of free-flowing as long as it relates to "community and the sense of modding". This is more than about mod download numbers.

If we are going to examine this subject deeply, we need to be able to look at it openly from all angles.

Regarding Facebook and Twitter, I never go there, and have no interest doing so. Yes, that makes me a rare person, but I knew that already. :)

Im the same as you Observe - I dont use facebook or twitter. I have tried both in the past without any luck. I have gave up on them.

I prefer making content than making a 'groups'. However I have placed share buttons because I know some actively use fb, twitter etc. I guess for me, having a site you dont really need to use facebook or twitter, especially with my own created blog section. I guess if ego gets more hits from this, all the best to them.

Not long ago I posted some replies (albeit late) to my TC/X3 threads (here) and got no replies (the X3 mod was getting loads way back). For me this means either they not interested or that there are less people. This makes me want to spend less time on the mods which is a shame. The OP was on about 4,000 downloads being low, I havent had over 1,500 with both X3 and TC mods put together!

Regardless of what happens, my site is not planning to go anywhere for a long time.
