Does EVERY conversation which you're involved in have to degenerate into personal insults?Chimpster2000 wrote:Now now darling, no need to get all uppy. Perhaps you should take up a nice hobbie like knitting or crossstich to while away the hours?
Just a suggestion of course.
What do you think of Forum trash(rubbish, graffiti)

Person A makes an irrelevant joke in thread started by Person D. Person B laughs while Person C takes offense and person D is pissed off their post has been hijacked. Person E stops reading the thread because it involves wading through stuff they stopped finding amusing when they were 12.Diplodocus wrote:Person A makes a joke. What's funny to one person may not be funny for someone else.

On some boards, hijacking one persons thread with inanities is considered bad manners and frowned upon. On this board some people think its fine. Presumably out in the real world they also burst in on other people's conversations with Monty Python skits or impressions of farmyard animals. The Doctor wrote:Aha. Ok, exorsize understood now. I see now. Having read through the topic more now there are more posts, I definitely see the aim of it.

Comparing real life vandalism and grafiti to this forum is a tad childish. While I agree with Patricia's arguments onthe grafiti aspect, the postings on this forum tend to run more like a conversation, so you are naturally going to go off on a tangent before you even think about what you have done.
I am very guilty of this (If it is possible to be 'very' guilty of something), and often respond to a post without really thinking of the content.

Hi. Yeh we all are. But some how, I don't think that this is the point. read the thread again, then read some others of Patricia's and then you will understand. It's not blatently obvious.Jericho wrote:Comparing real life vandalism and grafiti to this forum is a tad childish. AMEN... you should join the church of the smilie, with intelligence like that you could make Priest wiythin a year..The_Abyss wrote:Let us not forget why we are all here - for X2. The reason that trash is posted is that there is extremely limited news on X2. Once it is released, the forum will be focused almost exclusively in the direction of the game again. Until then, bar a very few and notable exceptions, the postings are healthly and funny!
