AV's fleet looks well balanced. Not very strong against one specialised fleet on the one side, but also not very weak. So I would place a bet on his fleet as well as anybody else depends too much on luck (which opponent he will have).
What they don't scan won't hurt me
Then let's hope there is no Boron M5 police showing up, scanning my ships and order them to stop!Cpt.Jericho wrote:Which is probably illegal even in Xenon space.*just have to fill in the secret Gummiberry Juice this night* ^^

Ok, the results of the Mutiny vs Le Baron match are up! While I still haven't gotten the video of the Wildjames vs Aro match up, I'm working on it. Something to do with re-encoding it as Youtube won't take the entire file. Don't worry if all goes well, the video for the Wildjames vs Aro match will be up tomorrow. If we're lucky, the Mutiny vs Le Baron match video might be up tomorrow too
Oh and I'm going to tell you all what the first rule of XFF II is going to be.
NO MORE THAN 65 FIGHTERS PER FLEET!

Those 160 or so Solanos might have destroyed all of Mutiny's Boron ships, but they also killed my framerate in the process! I had a fps of 5-7 for most of the match >.<

Well, there goes my bracket.
I'm a bit surprised! Though I bet the lag played into the hands of the Solanos. Fewer hits would register from the PBG's, perhaps.
I'll have to adjust my next-round predictions... though I still stand by Killjaeden!

Re: fighters, I am in accord. Or you might say you can only field 70 vessels at once - given your above statement, the Zephyrus fleet and the Iguana fleet would remain legal! Gotta close the loopholes.

EDIT EDIT:
Just had a thought: superlatives.
Things like, "most fighters killed for whole tournament" or "most assets lost while still coming out victorious." Just to add some raspberry ripple.
I thought of this because one superlative ought to be "team which damaged Technojerk's framerate the most."

I'll have to agree on the "no more than 70 vessels per fleet" rule for XFFII - and here's the obligatory "told you"
Well, there goes that then - my prediction, adjusted by the results of the most recent match, is that a solano spam fleet will win the XFFI. Which is a bit sad - but oh well, now we officially know what we all suspected: quantity > quality
Congrats Le Baron.
Oh, and there's another interesting thing of note here - from my own experience with laggy battles, a PRG doesn't work well in such an environment, probably due to the bullet size. And those PRG-equipped Solanos still won. I dread the day someone has to face the MD Solanos...

So am I you're favorite now for fielding the smallest fleet?Technojerk36 wrote:Ok, the results of the Mutiny vs Le Baron match are up! Lag-Fest, eh?
I wonder what is going to happen when two of the TM-ragtags have to fight against each other.
These damn lags would also cause turrets ceasing fire... >.<
Limiting the fighters is the best decision in this case considering such a harsh impact on the performance.
For the YouTube-Problems: What about uploading the vids to a file hoster instead to YT so that everyone can dl them? I don't care if I can watch them on YT or have to dl them first, and the quality would be better.

And what were your graphics settings? I had everything maxed out and I got 4-5 fps. I turned on AQC and got 5-7 fps. I didn't bother changing any other settings though.EmperorJon wrote:No.Was that whilst running fraps as well?
and what was the result?
Dunno.

The only reason I thought Mutiny lost was the lack of Flack. A few FFA wielding frigates and those Solanos woulda been toast.Olterin wrote:I'll have to agree on the "no more than 70 vessels per fleet" rule for XFFII - and here's the obligatory "told you"![]()

I prefer fleets that have only one type of ship and one configuration for that ship as those are the fastest to set uptravisdh1 wrote:So am I you're favorite now for fielding the smallest fleet?Technojerk36 wrote:Ok, the results of the Mutiny vs Le Baron match are up! I bet on Nuklear-Slug...
because he has a true split fleet (ok tempest should be replaced by thunderbolts =P) and the beauty of splitships will pwn every other fleet

Thank you.Mutiny wrote: Congrats LeBaron
I hope it was an interesting match anyway, even though with small fps.
You can believe it or not, but it was part of my strategy. At least I hoped, that in some cases it could help me, as my experience ingame was that big guns (FLAK, etc.) have more problems with this lag than the smaller ones.Technojerk36 wrote:Oh and I'm going to tell you all what the first rule of XFF II is going to be.

But I think XFF II will be more interesting and exciting if ship amount is limited! So totally agree.
best wishes
