That is one of the reasons that shot was rejected for a news release.
This will be fixed soon, but there are only so many hours in a day.
If you take my advice, you only add only some weak glow to it, or a short exhaust type, like what the vanilla nova had for example. I like the lens flare inside it however, and that means you modified the model file - good job on that one.
The short exhausts you mentioned have a rather large problem - the engine displays them as a clear-cut box, and on various resolutions you can see the sharp edges far too easily, which makes for a rather poor impression. And on such big engines as that, simply making a coloured outline with a 'flow' texture & transparency is not enough, as you can easily move to a position where you see in between the engine sides - which is much less noticeable with a fighter such as the nova.
Naturally, the exhausts will be shortened to fit both the engine size and the ship size - most of these shots are from experimental stages.

yep. i think that was the reason for ES not building any capital-engine exhausts...
Therefore my opinion: don't put exhausts on captials. On some it might work (e.g. Tiger; is fast + has smaller engines) but most of them you would face those problems you mentioned.

Apology for this is my first post and may have an answer. Regarding XTC has there been deliberation on Xenon Start\Campaign. I play an assumably rare Xenon start which the Xenon are unbelievably friendly and aiding in modifications such as Improved Race Mods (Tons of action). However though hard to enjoy due to often docking at xenon station freezing.
Meaning of point, Has the XTC Team considered Xenon Start\Campaign in version 1 or later version(s)?
