Go for the Tyr! I never got to try it in my DiD game...on account of my computer died a horrible death and took my saves with it.
(it was fun playing DiD with X3R + Xtended)

well. thats going to be a blood bath. back when i worked in Terran space they had some nasty defenses on them. rumor gose that they installed some captured Xenon anti boarder tech on most Terran/ATF ships to keep pace with the improve commonwealth AB tech. before i joined up with you i used to be a grunt and let me tell you. 40 men got in, me and three others made it out alive. so my advice to the boys: shoot the cleaning robots, thay double as kill bots

Re: I got a Tyr in my eye
Ship title additional suggestions:
"Tyranny of Steve"
"Awesomesauce Extra Spicey"
"TyrOrSomething Rex"
But eh, ages ago when NS capped his first batch of Terran weapons I already volunteered for "any Terran M3 or larger" craft... don't I get the Tyr then?

We are all explorers of the deepest reaches of space.
We don't just watch space on our monitors and listen to the sounds in it:
We, all of us, each and every one of us, owns, to a man, as many operational Space Shuttles as NASA does.
Yes, we're all that awesome. Give yourself a hug.

It's pronounced Tire.
It's pretty nippy for an M2.
Therefore, 'Burning Rubber'.

TYR (pronounced tier) Norse god of Victory

Tyr, Tiu, Tiwaz, Tiw, Ziu - ("The One-Handed"), Asa-God of defense and victory, the bravest of the Gods. Giver of victory in battle against odds; he is never deceitful. He presides over law, legal contracts, assemblies of the people for judicial matters. He lost his hand in the jaws of Fenrir wolf. He is sometimes referred to as the son of Odin and Frigga, but sometimes is referred to as an older God who preceeded Odin.

PS I stand by Operation "It's all gonna end in Tyrs"

True. Nobody's arguing that the Norse god Tyr's name is pronounced 'teer.' But Betty pronounces it 'tire' in-game, i.e. when you select an ATF M2. And in the context of X, I'd say that either pronunciation is viable.masrock wrote:All internet searches say your wrong.
And on that note, my vote goes to 'Flat Tyr.'

It must be rogue Xenon code that has infiltrated Betty.
Does Betty pronounce the Terran M1 as Odin or Oodin?

I think it would be tyring, aha, for poor Nuklear-Slug to have a war of pronunciation in his game. Even though we know Betty's wrong.
'Burning Rubber'. Or 'Entyrly Encephalitides'. Or 'Tyred of Puns'.

okay...if you're going with 'tire' then I like Operation: Come On Baby Light My Tyr
if 'tear' is the pronunciation, then +1 to 'it's All Gonna End in Tyrs'
Either way, plenty of amusement
