Ship Type : Kestral

The hull polarizer makes hulls very hard to break through, you're probably better off finding one without.Mr. Reeves wrote:I have the worst problem boarding ships NS. My marines can't cut through hulls. They are frekin retarted and I have spent millions sending them to school. I tried bording a civillian TL today four times and uber-fail we can't cut through the hull. It had hull polerazation so I dunno I am sending them back to schoo
I'm looking to expand them, but funds are tight as it is at the minute. Swap what to what?Hartzaden wrote:HAY BOSS.
think we can git our Corvs numbers up to around 6 or so.
also what forums do we have to go through to git a loadout change. if that's acceptable with you of course?

108 - Flagship
Business concluded in Uranus for the time being and we're on the way back towards Saturn Research where we drop off our sensor data to one of the Terrans tech geeks before being directed to head for the Orbital defence station back in Asteroid Belt to meet up with some major. There's a few light Xenon fighters show up on gravidar as we're heading back which must have broken off from their original attack, so although the main Xenon force seems to have been disrupted it looks like there's still a few stragglers hanging around, but the ATF are on the job and chasing them down so none of my concern.
No escort for me now so I must be in someones good books, they may regret that one at some point. For now tho we dock at the defence post to see the Major and he's got a mission for us back in home territory and to be honest it'll be good to get back home for a bit. I'm fairly sure 'Beep' will appreciate the return home as well as once we're safely back in home space we can drag him out of the broom closet where he got shoved when we arrived. Yep, somehow or other in the process of ensuring that 'Baa-Ram-Ewe' was kept well out of sight I completely managed to overlook the fact that 'Beep' is currently rolling with an L, which broadly isn't likely to go down any much better than an LX suddenly appearing. I chalk it down to 'Beep' always having been a bit weird so he slipped under the radar. The Blues wingcommander, well he's still developing his psychosis..
Lots of stuff to do when I get back tho, cash reserves are looking a bit on the sad side so I need to check into that, although the missile inventory is going through the roof so I'm thinking I may need to review the stockholding on that one. Enough nukes for the job is good, enough to irradiate a galaxy is probably excessive, and I say that as someone who firmly ascribes to the philosophy of 'Never bring a gun to a gunfight.. when you can bring a steller imploder!'
Anyway, as part of the mission profile the Major has seen fit to outfit us with a Terran scout ship, one of their little Rapier class M5's and I'm all in favour of free stuff. I have to go trek off to Mars to get it myself, but it's free so I suppose one can't complain too much. I'll have a closer look at the specs for it later, hopefully it will be able to mount some of the handful of weapons I managed to scavenge on the sly during the recent Xenon/Terran skirmish. I'm fairly sure it'll at least be able to mount Poltergeists and I managed to scrounge about 60 of those. I've also got some slightly larger ones, Wraith missiles, but I'm not sure what they're for yet.
On the way back to commonwealth space then on secret ops for the Terrans and for a moment I have a twinge of conscience at the thought of acting as an agent for a power that's not entirely friendly to my own universe, but then I remember they're paying me and through the marvels of the power of cash to assuage the guilty mind I decide it'll be fine. And even if it's not, well I can always make amends somehow, perhaps by taking an 'extended loan' out on one of these..

.. Forget the Osaka, now that's a destroyer!
I'm not quite sure who these ATF guys are exactly, although I'm starting to get the impression they're some kind of super-militaristic branch off of the main Terran forces. They certainly seem to run their own fleet separate to the rest and from what I can see they're a notch up in terms of technology over even the Terrans. I've yet to see anything bigger than this one so this may even be the ATF's flagship.
I could quite see myself stood on the bridge of that one myself actually..

The skunk really is a bare bones model. It doesn't even have a GPS to highlight the way. Or targeting software MK 2 to allow target selection and painting from the sector map. It lacks a Trading System Extention to show prices in the sector you are in. The lack of satellites in rebirth is also annoying to the trader/pirate looking for a mark.

Yeah, i admit, the almost 8 months i was held hostage in New Eden , i missed this stories, made by a player,(with admittedly much higher skill than me) for players.
Thanks N-S, for hours of readings, i wouldn't wanna miss. (i thought, Maks adventures would be the last, due to an undeserved and unexpected end, that put a new meaning to "frustration",within my mindset).
But since i play Eve, i know, the full meaning of that word, LOL.
I am glad, i am back to read this.

I got a Tyr in my eye thinking abut it.
Go for it, I would love to see how one of those beasts is subdued and filched from Terran space.
Possible mission titles:
"It's all gonna end in Tyrs"
"Tyrs before bedtime"
"Crocodile Tyrs"
"Fake Tyrs"
"Salty Tyrs- pass the tissues"
