This shot of Saturn, framed by a Trans-Orbital Accelerator appeals to my minimalist aesthetic.

The Earth, seen from The Moon (I really like this one, though it's slightly busy with stations, but I couldn't help it).

Well seeing as I haven't posted here for a while here's a few more from weedie's battle zone, Erm! I mean universe
Well don't know if you've all been there but it seems the Terrans have a bit of a Xenon problem too so I thought I'd help out a bit and paid them a visit in my Hyperion.
Who needs Missile Frigates a good M6 with the right heavy ordinance can wipe out anything as the poor old Xenon found out.
Can you name these Missiles?
[ external image ][ external image ][ external image ]
Well one thinks the Xenon might of when they run into them
[ external image ][ external image ][ external image ]
Well this Q was doing well against the Terrans too until my barrage hit home
[ external image ][ external image ][ external image ]
And last but not least this poor sole in an L thinking he could take down a Terran M6
[ external image ]
I just left him to it
Anyway Belisarius these Screenies are good but when we going to have Video of the Week, now that would be interesting too.
All thou might be a bit of a nightmare downloading 100's of videos to watch

Interesting, yeah, but then better video of the month, since it takes time creating good videos. Sure, pros won't need that much time, but it's better that also non-professionals will have a chance. Lets see what I can do about that. For the moment I promise nothingSpaceweed Adict wrote:...

I'm definately up for a VOTM thing,
better idea that the one-off one-winner video competition (sorry).
I think you'd have to define some fairly tight parameters:
e.g.
not longer than X minutes (/megabytes),
format (mpg2:4, wmv, divx, xvid ?),
seperate categories (fighting, scene-ic, story, game-glitch out-takes?),
sound track usage (copyright etc),
Don't know how many people would make the effort judging by
the (relatively) recent video comp. though.
Might need to be video of the season

Quite unexpected honour, Belisarius.
Had to edit details about the shot into the submission.
Now, on page 252 of this thread I did post a simple brag. But it felt somehow incomplete ...
Almost three years later, a completion is now possible. So tune in for same Bat-game, same Bat-sector, same Bat-gate, same Bat-ship, but all new fresh villains:

There is no capturing of spontaneous moment in that screen.
(Extra point for the P.)

Here are a few more pretty ones, at least I like them
Just a note : my thumbnails aren't the silly ones that imageshack generates which link you to some page with an advert on, but link to the real full-sized image.
The chances of successfully navigating this sector are approximately three thousand, seven hundred and twenty to one against....

The Hyperion Vanguard and either Neptune or Uranus, I forget :

Hyperions are pretty, just like space, and in this case, Jupiter :

Here's a screenshot of a complex I made for a mega complex building tutorial (now defunct because of the Crystal fab Ls introduction alas).
It no longer exists, this shot was taken as I aproached on a demolishion Mission

Not much as high-quality, those images (low web hosting space), but just illustrating what can be done with the program. Perhaps you'll find it useful. Thank you.
Moderators: if you want to, put a link to the screenshot blender, instead of keeping these images here; this is a duplicate of a portion from within the "blender" post.
And now, off to vacation with me...
Not before submitting this screenshot from Ceo's Doubt

I've noticed that all SSOTW are JPEG. Is there a particular reason why say PNG format screenies are passed over?
If I'd have known I should have be submitting in JPEG then I would have been; I don't really know what the difference between the two are anyway
