REQUEST: Enhanced SETA

Can anyone make the seta go faster? Like maybe up to 100x? This would really take out some of the monontony. Thanx!

Whoa, baby. :lol:

I remember in X-T, if you flew a maxed Pegasus through a gate at full speed on 10X SETA, it would just keep on going, right through the gate, without jumping. First time I did that, I didn't know where I was or what happened :roll:

I can only imagine 100X SETA! :lol:

You wouldn't need the jumpgate :P Leave 100x SETA on for a couple of minutes and you can fly straight into the next system... :lol:

It's *probably* possible - although I have no knowledge of the X2 scripting system. However, people seem to be able to script everything else - destroy entire systems, and recreate them to look different...

So adding an extra 0 seems simple compared to that... :P

hmmm, IMHO 100x SETA would ruin factory running, it would make it too easy, 10x SETA makes things run at a nice legit pace...

The only problem i could see with 100x SETA is whether your processor could handle the number crunching!!
do you trust your computer and game that much.
In a matter of seconds, you could loose a station and many ships!

Would be cool to try it out though!

I would be cool if the systems were reachable with x100 SETA, tho I bet all you would find is more empty space :lol:

With 100 x Seta :o :o and a full tuned Pegsus you´ll reach the border of the programmed systems in notime.
Go on try it..... the game will Crash at 1000 km or 10000 km (it works with ver 1.0 - not tried with actual version).

So happy crashing :P

um... thats wrong. once i went to sleep with seta running 10x with a m5. by morning i was 67980 km out and the game was running.

strange..... i just tried it in several sectors and got out at 10,000 km.
i´m using a (overtuned) harrier it´s 8000m/s fast and so i´m very fast at the end of the system.
And at the point of 10,000 km the game threw me out to the desktop.

in what sector have you been?

I have had an M2 at about 2500 km with no crashes. I wonder why it does it at 10k.. uncoded space? :lol:

an m2 at this range??? thats weird! but if you´ve gone this far.... try it.
Your results would interest me. At 10k you will see someting complete different. something you´ve never seen in your game ....

I doubt it would work very well. Assuming your processor somehow managed to run the game at 100X speed, the AI ships would still lose so many calculations, they'd probably all crash into each other, miss gates, and get destroyed attempting to dock. You'd probably start some sort of huge depression :o

I'm yet to see any way of controlling SETA through scripting... which is annoying cause I want to use it.
