2.1 treasure hunt end. [SPOILERS]
I've just finished the treasure hunt.
Followed all the clues, and got to our Teladi friend in the Mammoth. The Mission requested I cap the ship, but the pilot bailed, and the mission changed to pick him up.
Then I get a message saying don't worry about the ship, the Argon will collect it.
So I leave it there.
I noticed that I couldn't scan this ship, either before or after the pilot bails.
The option wasn't there.
So I drop the prisoner off at the SY in AP, and am told that I will be needed for a rescue soon, and that I will get the Teladi's ship for my effort.
10 mins later I'm sent to rescue the crew, and have to kill off a fighter escort, then lower the shields of the capture vessel, and the crew beams off.
Once the crew are off I stop attacking, and leave, taking the crew home.
I didn't destroy the pirate ship.
As soon as I dock, again at the SY in AP, I get a message, well done etc, here's your prize....
Nothing.
I can see the Mammoth sat in the SY, but nothing in my property list.
The odd think is that the SY lists 2 ships docked, yet when I look at the list of docked ships, it only shows one, and not the Mammoth.
I have reloaded from a restarted PC a few times, just to see if that helps.

Yeah the people are gone, and I do have a CLS.
The final message says that the crew have been transferred to sick bay etc.
I'm then given all the spiel about not buggering up the unique ship, then nothing.
I just loaded a older save from before the final mission, and destroyed the pirate vessel this time, but no different.
I'm wondering if its something to do with the Mammoth when it spawned, and was scan proof.

Just found an older save again, from before finding the missing ship, so played through again from that point.
The Teladi Mammoth is definitely scan proof, and when I target it, and press for info I get the usual screen showing the stats of a ship etc, except this one shows no speed stat.
It's not blank, it's just not there.
So I refinished this plot anyway, with the same outcome...no prize, even though I can see it sat there.

There is definently something wrong with your game. Are you using scripts or mods?

If I understand you correctly, you are in the Xenon sector. After finding the wreck, you are attacked by a Teladi Mammoth. That is where the error is. The ship the Teladi should be piloting is not a Mammoth. I expect a mod has stopped the mission from generating the correct ship.
Seeing as the reward ship is the same type as the ship the Teladi was piloting, that may be the reason the mission did not conclude the way it was supposed to.

ADS is scripts only. There's nothing modding Tships (which your issue sounds like an indexing problem with Tships). MARS only adds a couple lines at the end, which again, shouldn't affect anything. In fact, if it did, you'd get a CTD/corrupt save game when loading an existing game.
I have a folder in X3 Terran Conflict called types which I added as part of MARS, there is a TShips file there.
I installed the plugin manager buit have not installed anything from that and they are the only two scripts or mods I have installed.
I have added a folder called types with a TShips text file in it for MARS
JuddaDredd, I have Vista Business 64, so I have shadow copies, so what I did was go back to the point where I had the folders without the scripts and copied that, I then removed the Scripts and t folders and any other folders added by the scripts and placed the originals back in there and I did that when the OOS rebalance stopped my game. I have not done it so far over this issue, from my point of view it depends on your OS. A couple of people have suggested that it is down to the MD and changes to TShips.

Thanks for the reply... I Sold all my modded ships then deleted my entire game (this should mean me save game is free of clutter). I then reinstalled without any mods or scripts, reloaded a save game that was before the new missions started and I'm playing from there at the moment (Meaning I've lost 4-5 days work but oh well)...
I will post and let people know if this fixes the problems...

OK I am happy that helped.
Gazz just told me that my issue is based around the use of the TShips file which is the 2.0 version and not the 2.1 version, the MARS_Repair_Drones are a Mod and not a script, I do however have no idea what to do next, as I cannot work out where I can get hold of the 2.1 TShips file and where it is even supposed to go and even if that will cause issues for MARS later. Any help gratefully received, I rather cheekily asked one of the scripting gods Gazz for advice, I hope he does not mind.

I already have, but I have no idea whether TShips is a vanilla game file or not and my objective is to find out so I can solve my issue so if you tell me go sling my hook to the S&M forum as TShips is purely a Mod file then great and I am in your debt

1. TShips in /Types directory is NOT vanilla game file. 100%
2. As far as I know, this file is used by system MARS ONLY for installation of repair lasers on fighter drons.
3. BUT I do not know whether use any mods this file? I don't have any mods just now. But it is a lot of scripts!
