Anybody has any suggestions on the specialist ship issue? Quite a bugger as I've only been raising my rank to try to get my hands on a Kha'ak destroyer... :(

I could of course just script it in myself after choosing specialist ship and getting nothing but it just wouldn't feel right...

Cool thanks LV, I'll check it out now to see if it works. :)

Edit: Yep, works like a charm, thank you very much, LV.

So I completed a full tour of the Arena and came out successful, so I decided to grab a Tax drone for some additional income on the side. I had a sector I claimed previously with lazcorp's sector claim and nabbed Splitfire.
The Tax drone launched properly and seemed to function just fine.. however things quickly ran out of control. Within the first full day (realtime) of playing I had made 500 million in tax. The next day I had made 1.5 Billion total. This is without SETA or running overnight mind you. My defense rating was also skyrocketing. The ships I had parked there were 2 M2's, 1 M1, 2 M7's and a handful of M6's most of them docked. Is it supposed to make that much creds in so little time? That seems a little ridiculous. :P

LV:

I haven't looked, but do you have some kind of preventative measure in teh DMAs to keep people from marining ships?

I've tried, and tried, and tried to capture one of the M7s in an extreme match, they always fail when inside...

Not a real issue I guess, just a curiousity. I can't capture anything.

i'm not sure fud, there is a slight force tingle that tells me i did, back in the day add some code to the capping logic to make it a tad harder but i may just be talking rhubarb!

updated to 1.21

tax drones changed, they will only work with new drones, old ones must be destroyed the code was sloppy and way over the top for payouts.

now they should charge a heavy sector about 2-3k a min at SDL 1

see first post for link, remove dma 1.2 remove library's

install dma 1.21 and lib scripts.

manual rar users delete and extract

Kick ass fun but, gotta remove it as it locks up the game during a deathmatch.

Have only had two addons lock up my game, Conflicts, which I removed months ago and DMA.

CPU usage spikes right at the lockup. Cant be the number of ships in sector as there were less than 10.

Mods and scripts I run. Have used them for months.

AMS
MARS (player ships only)
NPC Bail addon
Complex Cleaner

Only installed EMP for DMA.

Yeah, the Def level rating was in the 30k's by the end of day 1. stopped keeping track of it after that.

Remember this from reunion. Will give it a try. I keep seeing a mention of "Artificial Life Plugin"...I vaguely remember this! Do any of you have a link to this?

CaptainRAVE ALP is simple the type of script, nothing more

SteveGER

open the 8805 t file and rename it at the top where it says 44 to 49

the sector names are further down that t file and you can rename them to whatever you want

Far too easy to get no prize whatsoever, especially if you are used to using ESC to back out of menus. No way to reopen the DMA prize menu if you ESC one too many times.

No specialist ships in ver. 1.21. I got nothing when selecting it, no messages even.

*edit*

Ok, this is damn odd. I now own a Null Fab in an unreachable sector called Unknown Objects--Stations. Supposedly it makes PACs according to the voice description.

*edit 2*

Version numbers > me...1.11 should be 1.21

I though i'd catered for this but alas

need to write

Code: Select all

001 $If PLAYER cannot keep his fingers where they don't belong during prize giving
002 Do while PLAYER is concious
003 $Forcegrip Player
004 Add more checks to prize script to idiot proof
005 End
the null fab is a result of you devil fingers, fixing

grr ;)

Happy I could be of assistance in breaking it *grins*

Wonders what other kinds of trouble I can cause....

*edit*

ahh, learned something new. I bought the Unknown sector south of Menolaus Whichever (far southeast sector) and when I did, I lost all my Salvage Insurance. Had 77 of them before starting that particular DMA match and when I went to save in my new sector, I found I couldnt, said I had to have Insurance. Jumping to another sector didnt return it either, had to buy more.

Havent bought another sector yet to see if this is a consistent happening.

hi LV

seems to be a great script but the downloads don't work for me
