I created a ore mine on an asteroid and it constantly takes damage. About 1 shield per second. It has happened to 2 stations so far and eventually ends up in the station exploding.
Anyone have any ideas?
Station taking damage?!

There are several ''double'' asteroids, i.e. they are at precisely the same spot. Could be possible that you have placed your mine on one of these and that the ''other'' asteroid is now permanently colliding with your mine.

The game version is 1.04
The asteroid is ASJC-05 in Ore Belt. Yield 64 ore.
It doesn't appear to be a double asteroid issue. I am playing a modified game and added the factory directly to the asteroid. It is not a part of a complex and there is nothing visually close by that is bumping into it. I do hear a banging sound though when I fly very close to the station.
I am looking for any sort of fix possible here. I don't care if I have to just put an auto repair function on the factory or something to keep it from blowing up every hour.

You could try using a tractor beam to move it, but moving objects usually damage quicker than stationary objects. If something is embedded in it, that will make it blow up quicker. You could try a self destruct and see if anything is left behind. (remember to save before hand).
Have you got the co-ordinates for the roid. The ID will change for different peoples games.

Does this mean you've ''spawned'' the mine rather than deploy it via an TL? In this case the mine is floating in space and not placed on the asteroid. Hence the mine and the asteroid are permanently colliding.rmordo wrote: .... I am playing a modified game and added the factory directly to the asteroid.....
