Can't get game updates

Hi, sorry to bother you all but my game (X3: Reunion) was supplied to me without a serial number, and therefore i can not get access to any game updates. I was wondering if there was any way I would be able to get updates without the serial number or tell me where I should look on the box incase i've been looking in the wrong place.

You don't need a registration code to access the X3R updates and haven't done for a couple of years now. This is explained in one of the sticky threads at the top of the main X-Universe forum.
