Hey everybody! Some folks may remember me from page nine of this very thread. I'm the guy with the GeF8800GT, 4 gigs of ram, and 5 fps in combat. I spent last night reformatting my machine, so it is now perfect, pristine, and without fault. All drivers are fully up to date. There are no outside codecs installed, no possibility of malware, I was ready to run X3:TC and finally get good frame rates! Or failing that, finally have proof that the problems in this game are NOT related to my machine.
And TAGES is down. That's right kids, I can't authorize, so I can't play the game I paid for.
This is hilarious. It is like the universe is reaching out to me, saying, "You fool. Why did you pay for that game?"
I long suspected TAGES (or a TAGES/Steam conflict) was responsible for the lion's share of my tech problems. But now TAGES is the reason I can't play AT ALL.
If TAGES doesn't come back up within 24 hours I'm going to start screaming for
A) Egosoft to release their copy protection removal patch early, or
B) A Refund. We'll see which one happens first. Hah.
Yet more TAGES stuff split from a performance thread

I think the point he was making when he said Tages was down was that he couldn't reinstall the gameConan1 wrote:Have you reinstalled the game?Esc.Control wrote:Hey everybody!
