None what so ever all original game so this should not be happening, just lost my scubbard as well which to be honest Im not worried about, it is just a big pain when this keeps happening, if I was not so rich in the game I think it would be a different matter, but this has only happened since 1.4.
Thats a pic of yet another Transporter blowing up as it tries to leave a space station and why does it have a problem. Its a design floor with the AI
As soon as you ask the captain to do anything, follow me or move to position or move to sector. The Ship moves forward a few meters and then tries to turn.
I have even tried to be right in front of it and yet it still turns when you ask it to follow me!!!! So what do I do? I let it blow up and then try again.
On the teladi space station they have this pole that the ship hits no matter what it does. thats really clever!!!!
I got you lol I will do that next time but for sure I have had it in the past when I was out of the sector and I still lost a Transporter. Anyway I went to Split space and got one from there, left it to die. lol
Im not sure if you and I are having the same problem but I built a complex..Silicon mine and Crystal fab. My Transporters dont crash every time..but..they do it too often for the station to function. They line up sometimes as well like they are gonna land then they veer off and try again over and over..I end up giving a stop command and dock em manually. Im not rich so...I mind losing ships.
but its the timing that makes my issue "suspect" so im not sure whether to blame the patch or not. Its my first ever complex through all the X Games.. and it just so happens to be in the 1.4 patch.. So no usefull info here either I guess. I may just go back to a pre patch save...I keep em on a flash stick for just such a case.
If you happen to enter the system JUST as your frieghter is about to dock there is a good chance that it will crash.
IS your ships, when ordered, will dock via the landing strip, heading to the farthest point, slowing to 40ish m/s then proceeding up to the docking clamps from there.
OOS you ships head to the station coodinates and dock.
Same applies for leaving the station...
IS the ship will unclamp and proceed down the runway.
OOS you ship spawns at the station coodinates and head out from there.
Looks like it's the standard X3 Auto-pillok at work. SETA use makes it worse since the AI pathfinding takes shortcuts, and that adds extra stupid to the mix.
The work around. Stay away from the HUB and Asteroid belt. Then your transports will be able to fly around those two sectors just fine.
While I'm thinking about it. Never allow the autopilot to dock a TL at anything when you are in the same sector. Dock it yourself under manual control (pretty easy) or go one sector over till it's docked.
Now, I've been hanging around my hub sector while the TS assigned to it is active a good bit. Haven't lost that Minstral SF. I also haven't seen that TS do any crazy manouvers, or crash into the hub/gate. I don't use SETA at all and there is only one TS tasked to running the goods to finish the hub plot.
I have left my ship sitting in space a few k from my complex overnight while I am sleeping, when things go bad...it can happen at the first docking or third..or when ever..all I know is its too often to make staions...or rather complexes of any use to me...for now..
if you have the script editor active you could try re initing the script caches fair warning though it does cause god too go a bit crazy for a while so if you have any what the deuce that station was there 5mins ago GOD is too blame after re initing the script caches.
Activating the script Editor does give you the modified tag though use only if you don't mind the tag.
