I have been having this issue where I have my Sector Trader with a rank 10 set to be Universe Trader and I leave it like that for a while. I came back to it after about 4 hours of game time just to see what is going on with it and low and behold, he is still on the same rank 10.
Hmm....I say to myself...ok I must be crazy, so I stop it's command and re-start it and leave it for another 4-5 hours of game time. Later I go to check on him and he's still the same rank 10!!!
So what I did was sent it back to the original sector where he started, Empire's Edge in my case, and set him up with Sector Trader duties with 3 sectors setting. I leave him for a while like this and come back in like an hour game time, and he's advanced to Rank 12...which if memory serves is the highest Sector Trader rank. So I promote him to UT again and leave him again for couple of hours...
I come back later to discover that he's on Rank 13 only. Hmmm...I say to myself again, this advancement is very slow?
So I continue playing for another 4-5 hours and come back to it and this sucker is still on rank 13???
So the conclusion is that there has to be something wrong with UT setup in TC v1.4, since my UT seems to be stuck and twice now.
Anyone else had this issue?
UT's not advancing in rank??

Lol...that's a relief! I was beginning to question my sanity for a second there. So It's a widespread issue. Sorry for this post but I did look through the forums in hope to find any discussion on this topic but was unable to.
Good to know that I'm not the only one, hopefully Egosoft will try to look at this and many other issues after the holidays.
