Crash at start and how to fix it

I had a problem that the game crashed as soon as it entered the game (after the movies were finished) and it gave me this error: Faulting application x3tc.exe, version 1.3.0.0, faulting module vp6dec.ax, version 6.4.2.0, fault address 0x00001b02.

I fixed it by reinstalling Windows Media Player. Go to Add and Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> Unchecked Windows Media Player -> Next (will uninstall it). Click Add/Remove Windows Components -> Check Windows Media Player -> Click Next to install it again.

I think it was a codec problem, I hope this will help. (Also Uninstall/Reinstall any VP6 decoders you might have and see if that will fix your problem).
