this game is hugely bugged in combat
most ships seem asif they cant shoot at more than 1 ship at onne (have seen many posts with this problem)
the AI turrets are much slower than in reunion, ive seen nps military ships fly past xenon ships and not been able 2 get a shot off! wtf!!!
its kinda killing my game as sectors are being wiped out everytime i acept a patrol mission as the npc ships suffer, espeicaly the bigger more turreted ships. sad really

Can you post your DxDiag info? Also, are you fully patched to 1.3?
Be interesting to see what your system specs are, as I have the reverse problem. On my system, my turrets drain my laser energy if set to attack enemys/target/protect me...they DO fire slowly if I use Missile Defence or Missile Only. However, NPC ships fire at full speed for me....which can be a PITA. Oh look a Xenon P, thats 1 Million credits for me...oh bugger the local M7 blew it up, wash rinse repeat.
Could be CPU related?

Erm, ok. Guess you don't understand how things work under the hood.
Three things:
1: Any request for support needs to have at least a DxDiag as well as a full description of the problem.
2: The turrets ARE very CPU intensive, when the game is strugling the turrets seem to stop. Now, there could be a 101 reasons for this - hence the request for a DxDiag to see if there is ANYTHING in common between systems that experience this problem.
3: Again, are you patched to 1.3?
