Interesting Issues since 1.3

Since installing 1.3 ive been having random lockups in different sectors for no reason i can figure. I am not going to post a DX-diag as i am running a modified game, i have looked through all the scripts and mod threads for those that i use and have seen nothing there with other people reporting problems.ive started removing scripts one by one to see if any of those are causing the problem, havent found it that way yet. So i decided to do a full re-install of X3:TC. uninstall went fine installation took 2 hours like it did the first time. i reset everything to how it was running 1.2.1 random crashes disappeared. installed the 1.3 patch and the crashes/lockups re-appeared, i now have a savegame where it will lockup within about a minute of loading it.

I then decided to try a new start with the same scripts and mods to see if it was them or something to do with them running while the update was performed, and then i found the issue thats really annoying me, When i uninstalled ALL my unlocked gamestarts disappeared. so i have a choice i can start totally from scratch, go back to my existing game as 1.2.1 or shelve X3:TC till i can be bothered starting again. I'm currently running with 2Gb of RAM so am contemplating upgrading to 4 to see if that helps, i know that overall it will help but doubt it will help in this specific situation.

Ive checked all drivers are up to date, they are i suppose the main reason i'm posting here is to enquire if anyone running an unmodified game has had a similar issue since installing 1.3.

Many people report similar problems with 1.3 patch after what I've read so far. I am definitely turning off auto-update on Steam for this one and wait until further investigation in to the matter is done. As for the custom starts, that is stored in the registry I think. Maybe you can search for how to put it back there. Someone said in some thread it was enough to put 'fffff' somewhere.

If you could start a new game without scripts to confirm it, it would be helpful. You could then post a dxdiag, which I'm sure would be useful to the devs.

Can you put the savegame which crashes after 1 minute after loading on rapidshare or something similar?

still experimenting with what might be triggering it, even sitting still it locks up and i tend to have to do a full reboot , but yet using the same save file with 1.2.1 the game doesnt lockup.

will add in the list of scripts that i havent yet uninstalled in a minute, as i am removing them one at a time as i find the correct way to remove them.

all others have been run through plugin manager and have all been disabled and removed .
still getting the lockup.

Hi, the freeze comes from a Plugin-Script which tries to call "plugin.killnotify.notify" but that plugin is not installed.

ok thankyou for that, will have to try and figure out whats been removed. which is therefore causing it.
