sorry but this game sucks i will never buy another game from egosoft after wasting £30 for the game and £500 for a computer i did not need
even after emailing egosoft 2 weeks ago still no reply realy bad service for a bad peforming game its not like multi core processers are new i just think egosoft wanted to make money from doing as little as possiable in releasing a new/ reahashed x3 game

I would recommend you post your problem in the technical support forum. You will get a quick answer to help you through your performance problems. You will also see a number of threads where users have solved issues where the game is running slowly on multi cores.
In order to do this you will need to enter you game registration code into your profile.

What the heck are you talking about? X3 would have been 'another game' from X2's POV, X3TC would have been 'another game' from X3:R's POV, and the next game that egosoft makes will also be 'another game'.delray wrote:There's no "another game from egosoft". They make only one game and you've already bought it. YOU FAIL. Sorry.
"Another game" means just that, a different game. It doesn't have to be a different genre or type, if it's not X2 then it's another game, if it's not X3:R then it's another game, if it's not X3TC then it's another game.
I'm sorry delray but you also fail.

To be fair, TC does have some issues that cause major performance problems on beastly machines. And $500 will go a considerable way depending on what you buy.KiwiNZ wrote:You might also be told that £500 computers suck. I doubt you'd buy an Austin Mini in an attempt to win the 24 hours of Le Mans. It always eludes me that people get something that 'just about does the job' and then blame somebody else for their mistake.

This sort of ridicule is both inaccurate and very unconstructive. Yes, £500 may not get you a decent rig if bought direct from a retailer such as PC World or the like, but for a self build it is a very realistic price.KiwiNZ wrote:You might also be told that £500 computers suck. There are many people with super-rigs out there but the vast majority of PC gamers are still using hardware that is at least 2 years old. I agree that a developer should design a game to scale with future hardware advancements, but it is commercial suicide to exclude the vast majority of gamers from a decent framerate right from the start.
As for the Le Mans analogy, it would not matter how fast a car you ran the course in if the organisers decided to create dead-ends and endless loops in the track. Or simply spawned 500 cars in front of you without warning.

As for the OP, I would recommend in the meantime that you take the advice of CBJ and post your issues in the Technical Support area. All bug reports will help go some way towards fixing the performance issues many of us are having. Hopefully.

Umm, in case you guys havn't noticed, it seems barryd007uk3 is gone, Kapeesh... Vanished.
Probably only registered to have a piss at Egosoft, not realizing that they community here would actually HELP him.
*sigh* I hate those sort of people. Don't bother having a whine if you don't have any serious reason to.

Heres the solution we all should try.
Return the game from whence it came, get your money back (after all its a defective product).
Wait 12 months.
Now buy the game, patched and maybe expanded, from the bargin bucket at your local game store.
It worked for me on X3R and I'm happier for it.

I would like to see you try that seeing as most retailers won't give you your money back for an opened game, they'll just let you exchange it for the exact same product. We can thank people who buy the games, copy them then return them for that little nugget of punishment.KipperTheFish wrote:Heres the solution we all should try.
