Semi-invisible ore mine problem

Antigone Memorial - self-contained SPP loop built out so it is time to start thinking about turning the complex into something more useful. I drop an L ore mine on one of the 60 yield roids in there and it disappears. Well, most of it does. One small part of the "mine" is still visable. None of the asteroid is visable. It appears on my list of property etc and I can OOS dock ships with it. If you target lock it all the distances increase / decrease as you move towards it or away from it as you would expect, but you can't actually see any of it.

Towing it is impossible. I can establish a tractor beam lock on it but establishing the right "place to be" is nigh on impossible so the roid rotates and blows up the towing ship.

It doesn't matter whether I reload the save, reload the game, or reboot the PC and try the same. The one thing I haven't yet tried is lowering textures to medium for the duration of the tow. Even if this does help it's still an odd problem.

Here's a dxdiag report - the only difference from this one is that I have removed the HDMI drivers.

Any thoughts / advice?

Don't have my own fabs yet, but constantly see such semi-visible NPC ones. Especially SPP XL.

I lowered textures / shaders to medium. No change in behaviour.

BTW, have you tried changing sector?

Then you re-enter the same sector, the invisible station may appear visible again, but just 50/50.

I'm out tonight but will take another look on Friday and try leaving / re-entering the sector.

If that doesn't work I can certainly provide the save game. I'll PM you Xenon_Slayer.....
