So, dann reihe ich mich auch mal in den Ergebnissen ein
(die lassen sich sogar sehen)
es gibt im Original keine Freischaltung für das Benchmark. Du mußt Dir dafür die Rolling Demo herunter laden (war bei Reunion auch schon so)

Und nochmal ein Test mit einer etwas niedrigeren Auflösung und komplettes AA und AF (ich bin doch überrascht, was meine Graka so packt. Hätte ich nicht gedacht):--------------------------

Stimmt deine Maschine hinkt hinterher. Ich würde aber sagen das das eher am RAM und der Graka bei dir liegt.

Es soll an der 4870 liegen? Was schnelleres gibt es zur Zeit garnicht von ATI was 1 Die Lösungen angeht. Mit ATI Tray Tools hab ich mir das jetzt mal angesehen, was auf den Kernen los ist. Nie geht da was über die 80%, eher 20-50% Graka und CPU. Gerne werde auch 2 CPU Kerne belegt.
Speicher hmm. Da gab es auch ne Option zum Tracen. Ich glaube ich sollte mal die Session aufzeichnen. Hat jemand Erfahrung, wie man das mit ATI Traytools oder mit ner anderen Soft macht?

Flops sind salopp gesagt die einfachste Möglichkeit um den theoretischen maximalen output an Rechneleistung zu zeigen durch "simple" Aufgaben (ein Mensch schafft vielleicht 0,5 bis maximal 2 Flops).
Eine moderne Grafikkarte wie z.B. die Nvidia GTX280 hat auf Grund ihrer massiv auf parallelität ausgelegten Struktur einen Output von theoretischen 933 GFLOPs, dagegen wirkt selbst einen C2Q 6600 (2,4GHz pro kern) mit theoretischen (laut Boinc, wenn ich meine Ergebnisse hochrechne) 4,8 Gflops gerade zu niedlich
[und als winzige Anmerkung: eine 4870X2 schafft theoretisch satte 2,4 Tflops]
Die Grafikkarten müssen allerdings auch nur ein was spezielles leisten, weswegen sie so massiv parallelisiert wurde, eine CPU dagegen muss sehr viele aufgaben in möglichst kurzer Zeit lösen, weshalb sie einen höhren Takt haben um kompliziertere Berechnungen schneller durchführen zu können, als eine graka welche "nur" 4 was verschiedenes berechnen muss, was aber alles auf ähnlichen steuerbaren befehlen beruht.

Naja so recht überzeugt mich das nun auch nicht von X3TC, Grafik sieht ein wenig hübscher (bzw. effektgeladener) aus als in X3R ohne XTM aber irgendwie auch noch steriler und lebloser, bei wesentlich schlechterer Performance (?)
Ich werd mir erstmal eine neue Grafikkarte zulegen... also demnächst irgendwann mal und dann mal auf die spielbare Demo warten...
