Sorry men! Saw this last night, computer decided it wouldn't take the strain on the keyboard from a revival and promptly crashed
Anyway, I'm fine with a revival, only I wouldn't mind if a Mod or ADMIN said it was ok, and I'm great with the idea of restarting all this
Also, for future reference this is what the Omega Glory can do.
The plot for it is me and Kardrin found an Ancient One computer on a planet on the deep fringe of known space. Unfortunately the Xenon also found out, and atomized the planet trying to steal the information which our heroes just managed to escape with. After eight (Might be less, can't remember every detail about that thread so long ago) years they deciphered a tiny, tiny part of the information contained, which was about the inner workings of the ancient jump gates. While the actual technology involved was impossible to replicate, GTA did learn enough to know what actually controlled the quantum projectors, or more to the point, how they where able to lock onto another gate. Armed with this info it was now possible to create a crude signal jammer/interference device which could hack into the targeting array and miss-direct the coordinates. The result is something along the lines of a mini black-hole, totally worthless as anything other then a weapon, and it has truly horrific potential as one. With enough hacker devices gates could be used to rip apart entire planets by creating vortexes inside the crust, or inside the hulls of ships and letting the quantum distortions simply erase them from existence.
I think it was just fiksal and myself, at the end.
It's in the story somewhere, fairly near the beginning. Just after Gardna nabs it from Gencore, I think.
