I can also confirm the same problems.
I let the PM update to both 3203 and 3204. Each time after reloading my save, all EST messaged "command complete" and docked to standby.
All but EST1 of 10 lost all their wares and jump/ecell data. All retained ranks/achvmnts/flystats.
I reset EST1 with complete ops/achvmnts clear. I gave EST1 a single ware (beans) in SpringofBelief, 20 jumps, 500 ECELLS. Restarted EST and he is running fine. BUT even running fine, his report still says NULL sectors within commercial center range.
Attempt to move EST2 to Rolk'sCaves and purge and reset. Gave 2 wares, Gas/BOFU, 20 jump, 500 E. He immediately docked at TradeDock and went standby. No movement. AND after watching his command menu (GUI) under SETA, after less than a min of real time, he removed his warelist by himself. His status changed from 2/20 to 0/20 on his ship name.
Reloaded save game and this time sent EST1 to Rolk'sCaves and gave same wares/stats. He immediately restarted fine and running fine, Still NULL commercial center range.
If you want I can try moving the EST2 pilot to a new ship and try to start a new EST altogether if you think that might reset. But definitely something has burped since I upgraded.
I'll watch the thread to see if you find anything in jpkidwell75's save game.
Cheers
EDIT: Just tried moving both EST1 and EST2 pilots to a brand new purchased M6, no luck at all. The move command works until the last second, I get a command accepted and okay beep, then an immediate error beep (the error beep sound when deleting a ware or invalid command etc)

OK, I look at it.jpkidwell75 wrote:I had a savegame get corrupted so I am working back up to get a proper saved game to send you. Hopefully will be soon.
But ... have you installed the BP or the libraries?

From the first post which lists commands you can give for configuration:xerses0 wrote:just wondering, is there any way to limit the jumprange of an automated est, so i can ensure it trades only within a certain races sectors?
Input - {2} {1} {X}
The pilot operates within jump range of X from homesector. The maximum jumps is limited by pilot level. (X = 0-20)

Proper v3205 folders to create SPK from ZIP
I had to roll back to a clean archive XTM install and also back to V3200 to get my corrupted ESTs/Saves to work again after upgrading to V3204 SPK.
But I was able to reuse my last ver3205 saves and all EST are working again.
I would like to try getting back to Ver3205 install but I want to confirm how to turn the ZIP into an SPK. Only a ver3204 SPK is linked right now.
There are extra files in the 3205 zip and my translation of the ger readme didn't help that much.
Has anyone compiled the zip contents to SPK and if so can you please just list which folders you included? I'm confused about the no-script-editor folders. And is the uninstall bat in there a mandatory run before installing a new version?
Thanks

Right, but the EST with T-MK3 must to configured befor you start the command.MrPopo wrote:From the first post which lists commands you can give for configuration:xerses0 wrote:just wondering, is there any way to limit the jumprange of an automated est, so i can ensure it trades only within a certain races sectors?

You must install the script folder (..\scripts\..) and the language folder (..\t\..). The other folders are for uninstall.spoidz wrote:Has anyone compiled the zip contents to SPK and if so can you please just list which folders you included? Lucike,
Thanks. Sorry but I've tried everything I can think of, no joy in getting 3204/3205 to work.
I can run 3200 all day long, but as soon as I install the 3204/3205 libraries/scripts I get random EST failures. Same problem as previous posts, with the ESTs immediately docking and dumping their ware settings. Try to reset them and then they just sit and wait until they dump them again.
3200 is fine for me so its back to that, I haven't a clue what's corrupting.
Cheers

I cannot for the life of me get the script to work.
Based on the Steam version, I:
a) Installed the game
b) Installed the Plugin Manager
c) Installed the 3.1.07 bonus pack
d) Tried unzipping the 3205 version, no success
e) Tried activating the 3204 spk with the plugin manager.
All the bonus pack scripts seem to be working fine, but the EST commands just don't show up on my TS at all, and I've definitely installed trading mk1, mk2 and nav mk1.
Do I need to try a reinstall? Start a new game? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Erm....Yeah you are doing something wrong! You have to set a factory or complex THAT YOU OWN as homebase not the sector. And if you want to sell Ecells I suggest you buy a Solar Power Plant as a factory. This is for Commodity Logistics, Commercial Agent type scripts.Mark_Arac wrote:Now I'm having similar problems to those reported above. My EST doesn't move, despite there being obvious trades to carry out. I'm trying to have him ferry Ecells from Ore Belt to Home of Light, setting Ore Belt as home and setting wares as Ecells. Am I doing something wrong?
Ok this is an edit to the above.
You don't need to set a homebase with THIS script. It is a sector trader / universe trader type script. Try it without the homebase set. However this probably wont make any difference. You MUST have on the ship the following software:
Navigation Command, Trade Mk1 Software, Trade Mk2 Software or it will NOT function.
There are other OPTIONAL upgrades you can buy for the ship. Read the Read Me. Better still if you have a printer print it and follow exactly what it says whilst your in the game. And read all the read me even the bits that look complicated they arn't.
Don't worry you will get there

Marc_Arac,
Are you running him manually or with TradeMK3?
If you are running him manually, try setting the profit percentage and factory stock level lower than the default.
A new EST will default to 10% profit and 50% stock level. To have my EST just get their time in I lower that to 2%/90% profit/stock until they level up more.
The codes for that are in the readme.
Just an idea anyway, since we don't know the status of that ware in your current two sectors. The lower settings may help him find more reason to move.

Marc_Arac,
Okay if you have my problems, they all started when I tried out FCSMK3 which is a mod that interacts with a lot of X3 vanilla trade/movement operations.
I had to get back to a really clean install and put back all but that mod. You may also have to reset all of there ops data just to clean out their previous corruption.
Even with that, my save games must still have some corruption because I still can only run Ver 3200. I'm happy to stay at 3200 until I don't need my ESTs anymore.
Only thing I could offer is try a clean install with 3200 and see if it runs. If it does, archive the entire install. Then you can try moving forward on versions and also be able to put it back clean to 3200 if anything burps.
That sequence is the only way I was able to keep my saves and I'm prob not going to restart again any time soon. (1yr+ work).
If you need the older versions they were still avail on the German thread last time I looked.
AND if anyone wants a command-card I made one that I use that has most of the commands. It will fit in a plastic keeper.
EST GAMECARD
REQS = Min requirements
NAME (4) = Add EST and Homesector to "your" shipname
("Advanced Satellite") = SAT only ops, SATS must be named properly
%STOCK EMPTY = How much stock is "IN" the factory

I have been using this for a week now. Here are some observations and one problem I had.
It does seem improved over the normal UT scripting.
I like that you don't have to monitor them to upgrade their status from sector trader to universe trader.
I like that you get and can ask for reports on their status and what they are doing. You get a mail every time they promote.
They handle being attacked better. They jump out immediately instead of trying vainly to run for the nearest station.
I have had more ESTs die than UTs. Two of them were due to warping into a sector while a Xenon invasion was going on. Nothing to be done about that.
Once, however, I noticed a problem. In the mail message I received, I had an EST attacked by a random Xenon ship. He announced he was escaping. Where he decided to escape to? Xenon sector 589 or some such. Kind of stupid. The end result was obvious.
It would have been nice if the normal auto trader system worked more like this.
