I tried EXPERIENCED and PLAYER a few times, and days after, still couldn't see any AI progress. There were no stations, no fighters, and just the odd TS ship (the original one created).

I modified the script by just 1 single character. In plugin.handymen.setup.ships I changed line 016 so when the player chooses EXPERIENCED mode, instead of the AI players receiving 500,000 credits, they receive 5,000,000 (just added one 0).

This has made a nice difference. For the first time, the AI players are building more ships, and they now have stations. YAY!!!!

When I chose PLAYER before, because I have about 1.2Billion credits and a bunch of stations/ships, the message log would say it has created 5 AI players but their bank accounts would be -517,000,000 or something like that - so because they started off in the negative no wonder they never got anywhere on PLAYER setting.

When I use this script in X3 2.0, when I click on something, under the target in the middle where it should say the distance it says something like "TextIdNotFound" I know its this script because I started a new game with only this script added and thats when it started

Just set up this one and it's great, the BBS gives you an update on your current net worth...fun fun :)

My AI Comp are no longer highlighted by colours in sector overview making it alot harder to scan for them i think this is due to my race response script overiding this is there a way of putting the colours bk on

It's missing 169. A AL trader named "ReadText7000-169" was created. Will it botch my game later?

447000.xml is used by ur other scripts but I guess I dun need to tell u that LOL... can I just use a text editor to add a 169?

Is there a way to change, exclude or somehow rename the companies created (or change then reinitiallize the script) , because having

"The Inefferablemodder Republic xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
Considering the view stops around .../\ Here

kinda floods the sector view, and is there a way to change which races the companies are assigned to, because being Honoured Strong Arm of Rhonkar with the Split and having one of the script created companies, listed as Split, assault a complex with a couple of M6s and M1s, and not being able to do much (ramming anyone?) w/o trashing race rep sucks... And also no being able to counter attack them in race sectors (i.e in Split sector, would trash rep there again).

Also maybe making them focus more on building stations, instead of buying M6s, maybe 2 stations for each M6, or a higher station ratio than it is currently...

Is there a way to re-initialize the script, wiping the created things and starting from scratch w/o starting a new game ?

Here's an idea, should the AI competitors have some random check that makes one or two of them "call it a day"?

Yeah, like bankruptcy. Or a hostile mergers and acquisitions takeover. So a failing megacorp could go bankrupt, and disappear..or could be swallowed whole and added to a more successful competitor (what a nightmare!).

The rep hit issue (as in destroy a Split megacorp's assets attacking you, results in your losing Split rep) wouldn't be a big deal, if the hostile megacorp suffered the same penalty attacking player assets in any race's territory..

But that's probably not possible:
So it puts player at a severe disadvantage once a Corporate War begins..

Question: if I play as a pirate, and I start capping corporate traders, will pursuers be sent out to hunt me?

Hostile "merger" lol "ASSIMILATE OR DIE". :D

Maybe Cycrow could look into integrating his Bounty Hunter script to this, putting up bounties against AI competitors and they sending Hunters against u... "XXX sends his regards!"

Would also be cool to know about it in the BBS. Wonder if LV's still working on the "Forbes Board"...

open the file 447000.xml in yout "t" folder with notepad and edit that entry to be shorter

ALC was only at 85% when I smashed my PC that ran X3, once i get a new pc that will run x3 it's on my todo list

Yea, fingured that the 447000.xml contained the names, but i also figured that removing entry number 46 would bump the whole list so i just changed the names that i didn't like (no offense)

Hehe, never seen any of the competition come after me... But also their ships u cap they retain their name, i tried changing it but didn't give much, switched after a while back to it's original name.

LV, is there a way to restart the script in a current game ? Wipe the current AL competitors and start over, getting the Difficulty setting message and all ?

If you disable the plugin in a 'mature' campaign, what happens to all the existing fabs and ships??

Do they revert to rece ownership of specific AI cmpetitors' parent race??

Uninstall: set the plugin to off and when it runs it will delete every faction and their assets from the game (so don't have your ships docked on their stations)

Deletes them all as this says.

And just Disabling the plugin in the Cycrow's Manager messes up the game so i guess you mean in the Gameplay Ai Settings.



BTW whats the Gameplay entry, ive only got 'Enable AL Players', i saw 'AL Competitors' a few times before but it disapeared from the Ai menu...
