I have conclusive proof that EGOSOFT is off for the holidays and possibly even out of business. Yes, its the end of the world as we know it....
I don't know if anybody said this allready ( I anly have a couple of hours a day to read this forum, at work of course...) but the "Screenshot of the day" picture hasn't changed in quite a while... Hmmm. I think they are all GONE... gone I tell ya... NO PATCH FOR YOU... HO HO HO.... ( or is it hi hi hi )

Ooh, outlandish guesses. Let me try. Mine is that the Christmas party went horribly awry. Someone sat on the source code repository server and broke it after mistaking it for the photocopy machine while trying to get a copy of their arse.

In a cruel twist of fate the backup tapes were tragically destroyed when they were knocked from a shelf into the egg-nog during an impromptu footy game.

We're all borked now...

It looks likely that patch 1.3 will not be ready for xmas so place your bets,i think it will be 1st or 2nd week in febuary,what do you think,the old one

I think they will release it by midnight tomorrow (23rd) so as to still have time with the family on Xmas eve. But if i'm wrong no big deal as the longer it takes the better it will be.

Or will everybody keep staring at this thread which all of a sudden dies at page 187? Or will we manage the turnaround?

Will some even realize that the patch is actually out ?

The really bad thing about getting so close to x-mas is: Now we'd have time to play during work but what about afterwards when it's really x-mas time? The remainder of your social life will all of a sudden strike back: "Darling, could you prepare the tree? In one hour you'll have to pick-up my mother at the station! What about the dog? I don't have time while I'm preparing the dinner. Why don't you play with the children instead of this stupid space game?"

Yeah yeah folks, admit it. In reality all the whining is just about this fear of not being able to play _during_ x-mas time

So my tip: Find a quiet corner in an unknown sector, fine tune your factories and find a good excuse to leave your guests every 60 minutes. Something like bladder inflammation, gastritis or whatever.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. I know the devs will be working really hard on this patch and the best thing it, no Publisher to say when it has to be out. They're probably going to fix alot of things and put new stuff on so it doesn't matter if it's late for christmas but I'd say... mid-January

if the last patch was 81 meg and DIDN'T include any extra content and this one does would that mean it will be larger ?
and if it is are egosoft considering the idea of allowing it to be included in any games magazines cover disks for the benefit of the hard of bandwidth?

Everytime I check the website/forums now I get a small tight pain in my stomach, like checking the lottery - hoping for a small miracle.... hmm, 1 in 14million chance of winning the x-mas lottery, better odds on seeing this patch?
