As for the prize the stations don't produce anything of value.
Sometimes they do ;)

DMA updated to version 1.2

Massive tweaking done internally especially to Xtreme difficulty

Ships are also spread out (not all of them it was too easy) when large fleets spawn

I can still crash X3 regularly with the DMA running, but I've isolated the cause (for me anyway).

If I accept a DM in the same sector I am flying in the game locks up, regardless (as far as I've tested) of the sector. I tried it when I only owned the ship I was flying and when I owned other ships with the same results. I can have other ships in the sector where the event will take place as long as none of them are the player ship.

Ooh! The cheek of it!

I noticed in my log something about cheaters never winning signed by LV.

Thing is I'm not sure how I cheated. I'll list my possible transgressions:

-Occasionally I get an M4 to rush in and pick stuff up while I fight

-I sometimes land at stations in sector to save

-I hang on before answering the messages so I have time to claim vacant ships.
Could you let me know which is the cheat? I noticed I got paid **** all for that match...

swapping your ship brings up this cheat and removes 90% of your payment, this is done as the class of ship affects the payout so if you start in an m5 and swap to an m2 you will be penalised.

i really enjoy this script.

earlier on i asked about capping ship in this script, and yesterday i achieved sufficient script based rank and now pilots are bailing.

but....

now 2 things happen

1. if i claim the empty ships the deathmatch referee comes in an m1 (or was it m2? never can tell) and blasts my captured ships to hell. not sure if it attacks me because i didn't wait for that - i attacked it but it seems to be invulnerable to my fire. :(

or worse 2) i leave the empty ships thinking to claim them after the fight ends. but then they just automatically blow up when the deathmatch ends.


This is a bit frustrating to say the least. what's the thinking behind making the ships capturable (a good thing i say) if the scripts goes out of its way to destroy any captures?

I've found another problem. I think it's related to the fact I am using this deathmatch script together with the JTP Race Response script (or how it was called). So when the script generates a telade m6, for example, I kill it of course. But then the response fleet responses to that - but only half. Their ships do not jump in, but they do turn red wherever they are. And so after a while I got lots of homefleets being red on me now. And some split dragon even surprised me in Danna's Chance! A teladi osprey attacked me in Home of Light. I have no clue on how they got there.

Is there some sort of simple repair script which makes all good races' assets turn blue on me again, because even the fix notoriety command does not work on those m6 and m3 which hunt me through the universe? (The stations and m1,m2 in their homesectors I am able to pay for good...)

DMA should not trigger JTP as all dma ships are 'Neutral Race'

I'll try to force this behaviour and have a look :)

There is a msg on start for what rank you need to be before the ref doesn't attack any other fighters you have in the sector, also if they are far enough away they can make a run for it and the ref will go back to neutral once they leave the sector.

I've written it this way so the capped ship bonanza is only achievable once you have earned it, ;)

The thing about those m6 hunting me in other sectors is that using the notoriety fix wont work on them for some reason. A nice workaround would be to let it work on any good-races ships that turned red on me. The only problem that remains then is that the fee increases in quite large steps. Perhaps you could detect that if it was used on a red ship in another sector, like on a red telade ship in an argon sector, that in these cases the fee *decreases* instead of increases, because it's a workaround?

Or wait, perhaps it isn't the response script after all. Just noticed that some stations also turned red on me, mainly trading stations. notoriety fix works on them.

also once I fled from a couple of pirates. They were shooting the crap out of me but I escaped into a trading stations. Some shots of the pirates hit the station the moment I docked and exactly in that moment the station turned red on me. However, looking at your script I cannot tell what causes that behaviour. Playing without the response script for a long time this never happens. Any ideas? By the way, after turning red, a few seconds later two m6 came jumped in and waited for me to come out. They wouldn't even take care of those pirates, lazy bastards. ;-)

Oh and I even tried to make the one telade m6 that hunted me in light of heart to shoot accidently at an argon m1 but even with half its shields down it wouldn't fire back. Now that's what I call a friendship...

Once i've finished final testing of my Medusa Rapid Missile Launch System BBS mission, you will not need to worry about any race ships in pirate sectors ;)

If you hack the notoriety with a ship leave the sector then come back if it stays red, i spent hours last week trying to work this out until someone in the heavenly halls of egosoft told me it was the game engine.

Wait, what game engine? Do you want to say that somewhere some logic in the game decides randomly to turn some m6 red on me without it ever turning blue again? I mean, I can kill it, no problem, but the reputation hit hurts...

run the hack leave the sector then come back, if it's still red let me know

you can use my cheat scripts to hack the f/f settings

Tried to run the hack in Light of heart where the teladi m6 is hunting me, but no message is generated where i'd be able to pay. The telady osprey still is red and moves into my direction. I looked into which scripts run 'on it' and there are two jtp scripts listed. What now? Send you my savegame or such?

By the way, I must apologize. I just found out that comming that m6 and nicely saying that the shooting was accidentally set him to blue again. So no real need for a mopup script at his point!

Well I finally started playing X3 this weekend, and I grabbed a few scripts.

I have noticed an annoying bug, when you are in the sector that the deathmatch is being declared in the game will freeze if you accept the match.

If the match is accepted from outside the sector then everything is fine, I am running some other scripts so I'm not sure if this is an incompatible error or a bug though.

Also on Novice if you choose the Suprise Me option after the end of the first round, then the message you get says that your reward is Credits and gives you nothing, if you choose credits though, then you get your points in cash.

I'm running : Terracorp 2.0 by Deltawolf; all of your scripts except the Cheat Scripts and the Race Fleet Response; and finally Cycrow's Bounty Hunters guild 2.5, Winnable Lottery, and Overtune scripts.

Only have the starting buster from normal, and I've only managed Novice mode for 1 three fight round, but its lots of fun.

Thanks for making the game more interesting. :D

Check your sector map for boxes ;)
