Besides, waiting is not a bad thing if it means they have more time to fix more bugs and add more content. I would rather wait another week or so if it means a lot more content - because if not then it may not have enough changes to satisfy and a few minutes later we'll have the '1.4 when' threads.

As Mr T once said...Misinformed wrote:I really do wish they could set a date for its release like everyone else.
wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute...
Are not 95% of the people complaining currently thinking this game was rushed? Are those same people not saying "you should have taken the fall and delayed release regardless of any consequences to the company, to ensure we got a fully working game".
Don't tell me you are now complaining that you aren't getting a patch when you want it, or aren't sure of the date?
Obviously fixing up bugs isn't so simple as going "oh yes, there is the issue - fixed!", they probabily have to test the fix to destruction to ensure it hasn't cocked up anything else in the process... or has side affects which are unwanted... or will cause another few hundred people to go prematurely bald whilst ranting like banshees on the forums...
The initial estimate date has passed, but they did release an interim patch to help those with windows 98. This led to a whole thread debating whether Egosoft should support Windows98, simply because it is slowing down progress for the windows XP users (apparenlty). Of course, windows98 users input to the thread was ignored - they are apparently running an unsupported version of windows, and do not deserve to be able to use anything ever!
One thing that is certain, threads asking when the patch will be released don't hurry the release up

*edit* - would hate to quote the wrong person, sorry Solesearcher

aahh! but they didn't say which yearEl Toro wrote:Well they said by the end of november, only 3 days left

seriously, friday appears to be their patch day of choice. The Abyss did say it was going thru testing so may be sooner. whats the betting that in the readme file it still say 1.3 will be out mid november

to be honest they would be best setting a date at least a week after they expect the next patch to be released and then supprise us by providing it early. so end of december for the next one perhaps we'll get an early xmas present

Hi, is there a likely date, when 1.3 will be out?
