Low Menu performance - High Game performace

I get 30+ fps in game yet i only get 10-15 on the main menu and the cursor moves very slow. Is this a bug? It just seems strange that the game runs well yet the menu runs terribly.

Like the HUD, the menus do indeed seem to slow things down a lot. We're working on it.

Hi,

Just bought the game today. Get very good frame rates (30 fps+) when HUD is turned off. Unfortunately if I try to use any of the menus (by pressing the ENTER key) then the fps goes down to less than 1 per second. I need much patience to actually get the mouse cursor onto the icons for the menus.

Would love to see this fixed in 1.3. For now I must play some other games while I wait !

Yeah, the main menu is a shocker. When I first got the game my heart skipped a beat when I first loaded up, but thank goodness the framerate isn't so awful in-game. Glad they are working on the prob.

How do you play without the HUD or menus ? When I go into a menu I'm not able to get out of it, due to slow frame rates, for several minutes at a time.

Especially scrolling through menus in game gives me a big time slow down. Its like when I move down one item the fps drop one then come back up one if I scroll down fast they drop very low then come back up.
