"The economy of X³: Reunion will be more complex than anything seen in the X-universe before. Factories are being built by NPCs, wars can affect the global economy, NPCs can trade freely and pirates will behave far more realistically."
But yeah, it's still possible much of this stuff is in this game and only happens rarely. Just a list of things I've not seen yet.

Are not previews and statements about a game prier launch a form of advertising?
The features of the game in question are listed and quoted (in previews etc) of which us the customer therefore expects when we buy the game that indeed the game DOES contain such stated content …
If once brought we find these additions are not included in the retail product is this then not false advertising ?

Wars do happen. I've seen skirmishes between the Argon and the Teladi and Boron, and other players have said they've seen full scale war across Boron space (strangely, with the Argon) and Split task forces in Kingdom End.

I flew down to Argon prime on the first day I bought the game. I entered the planets atmosphere and very nearly died as I suddenly started to get shield warnings. I've never yanked my stick so hard before ( ) and I have the feeling I only just managed to get out in time.

No.
It's only false advertiseing if hte back of the box, or advertiseing posters clearly state it offers somethingwhen it doesn't. Pre-relase interviews etc. don't count as advertiseing and don't hold the developers to inclusdeing what they said they will include, because things can change.
While the M1s are infinitely better now they have launch tubes, removing the ability to dock even one fighter with an M2 was a terrible decision in my opinion.
I mean, being able to dock one M3 isn't going to render M1s obsolete and having a captains shuttle on board was very convenient when you wanted to check out bulletin boards, scan asteroids or explore the edges of the sector. It's made the M2 kind of useless as a flagship really and is one of the smaller but more annoying things left out of X3.
Personally, the thought of NPC stations makes me nervous. They'd have to be awfully limited, otherwise we could have thousands of stations all over the place, with no space to move:)
I have "found" 22 new sectors; okay someone else made a map and I counted them up, I may have not counted correctly.
I have seen border conflicts - with lots of ships fighting and re-enforcements coming from several sectors away. Not sure if it counts as war.
I have seen a private TL heading through Paranid space, no freight scanner so I do not know what he was doing....
Something I didn't expect to see was an Argon M6 and associated Ls and Ms flying through Split space (Tharkas Sun) - not just flying around the sector but flying through the sector (heading towards Rhonkar Clouds). I have no idea what his agenda was (was a male pilot).
I'd really like to be able to see the ships I can purchase at the ship yards.
This part is clearly unfinished and rushed. Please add 3d "previews" of the ships you can buy. A simple solution would be just adding the same kind of window used for cameras, and then let you rotate and view the ship models.

IIRC, AFAIK if you hit the "i" key while in that mode, an info screen will pop up. I don't think it's documented very well, but I believe it's there.
I agree with Jams79...it would be great to see the ship in question being shown in all its 3D glory......perhaps even have a few of the same ship on offer at the shipyard but with different colour/paint schemes...
We get to choose the ideal ship and paint job. (same as buying a car)
Now wouldnt that be great !

You're joking. They barely had time to slap their spiffy new graphics engine on X2 and release it. Never mind going all fancy with separate paint jobs for all the ships, although that would be a great feature.
If they keep the graphics the same and spend the next couple of years on content then we may see it in X4. If we're lucky. And the planets are properly aligned. And hell has frozen over.
Bit bad when people are compiling a missing features list instead of something more positive. I feel really let down that so much of what was promised ended up as yet more fluff.

I think this is exactly what should be happening, a list of good ideas of things the community would like implemented, done in a mature fashion with no blaming.
I would imagine that the developers need and want feedback, as long as it is done in a constructive way.
When patch 1.3 is released, will you all have 100% compatibility,or will all the empire builders have wasted gametime ?
As there is going to be so many radical additions and changes that i for one wouldnt risk it.
Then again i still have my money
