Before I download this just a few quick questions:-

Does it matter if you install the bonus pack before or after you update to 2.0?

Do you have to be friendly towards the borons to do the bala gi missions?

Its best to install the updated bonus pack, beofre 2.0

Yes, you have to be friendly with the Boron, since they are the one's giving it to you

I saw the recommendation on the home page to use the STEAM load for STEAM versions, so that leaves me at the mercy of "no control over" ETA.

Was the recommendation based on known issues with mixing versions?

Only been frozen there 20times for over an hour now.
The first time I loaded up X3 it was fine after installing 2.0, then I had to go out for an appointment, shutdown comp.
Come home, boot X3, no good.
"The feature your trying to use is on a cd-rom/disk that is not available"
Yet I have the cd in the drive, regardless, it's now supposed to be No CD.

My laptop thanks Egosoft for the NoCD patch, no more crazy vibration as the CD runs at top speed.

Save games appear compatible.

Some menus (main in particular) are corrupted by wide screen format.

The centre thingy when flying around having targeted something says something along the lines of ‘missing text’ instead of displaying a distance?

But still looks like a welcome change.

You should already be able to get the update from Steam. They were delivering it before the patch was announced here.

Got to admit, without starforce i find things go a bit smoother. Also the mouse lag i was having is still there but not as bad.

I think the sounds hit effects have been altered but not sure. Sound better anyhow.

Nothing here, works fine, it must be a problem with your installation, try to reinstall or to jump to a diffrent sector

Edit: Are you by any chance using a HUD mod or something similar?

Upon reading the guide I came into Unknown Sector with a Fleet... two destroyers, several m6 and a carrier... and what did I find???

A single Khaak cluster... It wasn't even close to the M7...

Oh and I can't tractor the M7 through the gate!!!

Towing ships takes some practise, you need to make sure the ship you are towing is as much as possible close to the center of the gate, also, when you exit a gate wait and dont touch the controls, it takes some time for the towed ship to exit the gate

It's just the plain old install with patches etc, so I don't see a need to re-install. It's not that much of a deal so I'll wait until I come across an answer. But thanks for the advice, much appreciated

I hope the tractor beam is modable so it can be adjusted to let the player tractor beam enemy ships.

Always like doing that in Bridge Commander hehe.
