Quick question that's probably been answered....Downloaded the patch and eventually I got the PM to head over to K.E. .....and that's where there rub lies....All seems well,extra stuff like the Eclipse showing in the Argon Prime shipyard,and the destruct button etc.....but when I dock at the shipyard K.E. there are no missions...Presently playing a plot game that I didn't progress further than the first mission,is this the problem???...If so can I finish the plot while having downloaded the Bala Gi missions or do I have to finish the plot then download 2.0...or is it something else ....running a few scripts through Cycrows Installer,EMP and the latest Bonus Pack,but no mods..Thanks in anticipation....Hachiman

This first problem is likely caused by trying to run the game by using the old desktop shortcut link for X3. Starting the game by running the x3.exe or creating a new shortcut would have fixed the problem. Unfortunately I don't know about the install progblem. I think you should try the tech support forum. Good luck.first i had the game cd in the drive and started like always but then it got that popup screen where it askes for an installer package(.msi)

Got the 1.00 - 2.01 patch and everything works fine, except one thing: (Slight spoilers regarding the M7)

I can't get the AI to manually dock a second ship to the M7 when I'm in sector - the first one docks fine, the second one just pulls up to a stop about 600m away, even when there's nothing near to obstruct its approach. I have to teleport out to it and use the docking computer to dock, which is a bit of a hassle.

I ran into this problem where my UT's all tryed to doc at my HQ with no money in the HQ they just stayed there, as I had posted earlier. Last night I was playing and think I worked out how to stop the ut's from trading at the HQ. use the sat ut trading script and then don't let the ut's trade in that sector. Then to stock the HQ just run normal traders to get the stuff for the HQfstrthnu wrote: One other point to ponder....UT's and the PHQ. UT's will visit your HQ very often for wares they can not find elsewhere. Without much way to control it. Since the HQ requires a ton of resources to build a ship, the UT's love it. Haven't tested my idea yet just installed the Sat UT script last night and went about setting up the network. But I see no reason why this wouldn't work.
Had to add the sat ut script because I was starting to loose too many UT's to the xenon sector that the bala g mission has you fly thru. I hadn't been in that sector and my ut's never used it before until now ugg.

There seems to still be a bug in the docking of ships onto ships. This happens to me with the TL's how I get around this is to tell the ship you want to have dock to follow the TL which makes the ship get closer to the TL then once the ship is closer sent it the command to return home again and everything should work fine. I've never been able to just tell a ship to dock onto another ship. I have always had to tell the ship that I want to dock on a TL to be it's home base and then send it the command return home. when ever I try to tell it to just dock it flys all around the TL like a moth on a light and never lands

Try stopping the ship which is failing to dock, roll the M7 and then re-issuing the dock command. Sometimes the fighter seems to get caught in a loop!

This wasn't a one-off occurence, I'm pretty sure it's happened every time I've tried it. Still, I'll give it another few tests. Might be only M3+ ships that have the problem, or something.

As you can see from the post This ship is lean and mean and can dock two fighter ships.New Ships
The update introduces a range of new ships. Some of these are available immediately, but others will only be found once you have completed the Bala Gi Research Missions.
* Get hold of the unique M7 class prototype battleship. This ship is lean and mean and can dock two fighter ships.
* The new M3+ class ships can be a real challenge if you meet them in combat, but of course you also have the chance to own these yourself.
Sorry just seems abit odd to be hush hush about something that has been clearly stated and open for everyone to know.

I've had it with the free Mamba Raider. Sometimes setting SETA fixes it, sometimes moving the M7 gets it out of the loop.

I have a nova and a m3+ that I keep docked on my M7 once and awhile one of them no real pattern in my game but once and awhile one or both deside not to dock and I have to move them closer to the m7 then send the command to return home and it works fine then.theKettle wrote:This wasn't a one-off occurence, I'm pretty sure it's happened every time I've tried it. Eh, I was just being careful. Anyway, I had a few more goes this evening and managed to get both ships to dock OK, so I guess I was just unlucky the first few times I tried it. Now if only there was some way of making them auto-undock and help out when the M7 comes under attack (homebasing them doesn't seem to work, unlike with my elephant).

When I have trouble getting ships to dock. I order the carrier or TL or M7 to keep moving. I don't know why this works but it does. If you are piloting the M2/TL/M7 then just move slowly, like 10k and the fighters should dock.

Oh I love flying around in the M7 myself took on 2 Kha'ak Destroyers M2's the other night and was able to take them out one at a time of course kept to the front of them thier guns weren't doing much damage to me so after about 20 mins of fighting with one I was able to take it out lost about a 10th of my shelds so took about 40 mins of fighting. So thinking YEAH I'm HOT LOL I desided to go take on one more in another sector only this time the same tactics didn't work in fact this M2 seems to have much bigger guns and by the time I got out of there I had about 1/8 of my shelds lefts and his were only down by 1/4 So I will have to wait until I can buy my own M2's and then come back and take him on.
Clusters are easy to take on now with the M7 I just take out the M3 myself stop my ship and then switch to the exsternal view and watch the show
Pirates are still hard to take on depending on the type and what weapons they have and how many there are of them in fact some times I hop in my nova and help fight them along with my M7 because once the battle start they are trying to take out the M7 and I leave the M7 they are still attacking the M7 forgetting about me so I come in behind them LOL loads of fun!

help with Pontifex Maximus Paranidia
after escortting the transporter in Grand exchange I want to Maestrom then west then south. I have been in this sector for 2 hrs 1 hr on x10. the story has not picked back up yet please help I feel all along down here
