Hmm found a nice bug i think. When all my weapon energy is gone i have 2 very fast weapons still firing full blast on my buster. I think this wasnt the case last time i played pre 2.001 patch. I mean 5 out of 8 weapons not firing as fast as full powered etc but 2 of em is still going full throttle.

if the energy usuage for the weapon is less than the recharge rate of your weapons then they will still be able to fire.

the first use all your energy so the rest dont fire, then next time they fire the energy has recharged enough for the first 2 weapons to fire again

Not sure of energy charge and use etc cycrow but im using 4 B IRE in 1-4 slots and other two are A IRE. Still, i think pre patch even them didnt fire as quick.

Oh Man! I can't even run the game now.

I installed the 2.0 final patch and tried to run without CD (readme says CD no longer required.) and it asks me:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM" yadayadayada,
"Use source 1" etc.

then

"Path 1 can not be found"

Well now even with the CD in the drive it still shows this error and refuses to start X3.

Now what?

Sounds like you did something wrong at installation. Make sure you used the correct update version for the version you were running before, and that you installed it to the correct location.

You'd need to check with Steam about that - Egosoft have no control, and assumably the first place you'd hear about the Steam update would be the Steam website.
