Well, they can't be played after the paranid close there borders. It is impossible to dock at the required stations as your rep is too low. Plus there is no way to raise it again. I had hope that had changed in light of the new missions but I have tried for hours with no luck. Still stuck at Paranid Nomad 0%
You have to "work" at some things in the game . Regardless of what I've done in X3, there is always a method of raising your raitings with each raise (excluding Xenon/Khaak). You can even (although very slowly) raise your goner rating by buying lots of Jumpdrive and Transporter devices from them.
I would suggest completing the plot before doing Bala Ji's missions though.

Zoozer
I have managed to increase it to Friend briefly, but it will always revert to Parinid Nomad within a few seconds. Anyway the issue was with the statement - not the game.
Oh Man! I can't even run the game now.
I installed the 2.0 final patch and tried to run without CD (readme says CD no longer required.) and it asks me:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM" yadayadayada,
"Use source 1" etc.
then
"Path 1 can not be found"
Well now even with the CD in the drive it still shows this error and refuses to start X3.
D I T T O !......... I was lucky to have made a RESTORE POINT. relized i was running version 1.4.02 ( so i updated to 1.4.03 ) and re-installed the patch.. and guess what, SAME PROBLEM again..
NOW WHAT ???
Now what?
Finish the plot. Your Paranid faction will be restored to its pre-crisis rating.

Re-create your desktop shortcut... that should work.
My question: I know the 2.0 patch removes StarForce from the game, but are the drivers still on my system, corrupting it? If I buy the game, is there a way to keep it from installing Starforce since the 2.0 patch will eliminate it anyway? I don't want that stuff on my PC, ever.
so, about the game engine improvements and combat improvements, what exactly are they? maybe i missed them when reading the download info. this is "it" right, the additional stuff that is being included with the 2.0 release?
Seriously, thanks for this update! I had problems with the original, shall we say, install additions. Lots of dvdrom problems. I just decided to format the computer and be done with it.
Read on one of my other sites today about this update and came charging in here like a madman looking for the update.
You had to do what you had to do, I know, but it sure is nice not having to worry about that crap on my computer anymore. I see that performance has also taken a nice bump since the last time I tried playing (beta 1.3 patch).
Anyway, great game! Well worth my purchase, just wish I could have played it sooner
How do I get my old save games to work? They where saved when I had Cycrows scripts installed and now when I try to load them they just lock up my computer.
Yay, this is awesome!
However, I meet all the requirements and I've been playing now with the patch for an hour or two (I always lose track of time with XI missions...) but no sign of the new missions yet. I also seem to be missing the 'distance to target' indicator in the middle of the hud - the one in the target view window works fine, but in the main hud it just has a small error message about missing text, which is mildly annoying.

If I want to be toned up, calmed down, invigorated or anything then it's very simple. I just have a cup of tea.
Some one said 10th, I said within a week, guess we were both right.
THANKS EGOSOFT :thumb_up

In the Script Installer (cycrow's), "Advanced" -> "Prepare to patch game" then run the patch, Then "Advanced" -> "Restore (or similar)"
Did you do this or just patch first, ask questions later?

That means that you have installed the wrong update. You clearly weren't running 1.4.03 before, so you need to install the larger 1.0->2.0.01 version.
Help I am stuck at a point in the plot which is blocking the Bala Gi missions.

Corrently stuck at Nomad with Paranid. Post have allready recommended finishing the plot which I accept.
Bala Gi: Delivered the plans to the split. unable to deliver to the paranid due to nomad status.
Plot: Have to fly through an atstroid after daddy but I either start playing pinball with the tunnel walls and obsticals or get shot buy the Khaak in a cut scene. Tryed running it in a Nova Raider (Speed 145), Argon Buster (Speed 175) and a Pirate Buster (Speed 199).
Any hints or tips on how to get through including what ship to use.
(For a laugh tryed it with an Elephant and the game did not like that )
Any help please and sorry if this is consided moving off topic.
