Thank you Egosoft!

I look forward to starting a game fresh from the beginning and enjoying the game with all the goodies. This kind of support makes up for the rocky release some had (not a license for future releases ;) ) and keeps me interested in future products.

It may take up to 2 hrs for the mission to kick in even if you have all the requirements.

(as the past hours have shown it is HIGHLY recommended to use the torrent download if you can - we've made sure there are a couple of 100MBit/s seeders so you should be able to get decent download rates even while the http downloads may struggle with the load)

Just incase no one has noticted...

Nova Raider has lost another shield...down to only 2x25mj now :(

My fav ship keeps getting nerfed....oh well I guess it's better for game balance.

FAQ: To start the Bala Gi missions:
You need to have played at least 10 game hours.
You need to have a good reputation with the Boron and must not be an enemy of the Split or Paranid.
You need to own at least one station.
You need at least 5 million Credits.

OK, but do you also need a minimum Fight rank to go beyond the early stages? (Conqueror?)

After doing the 'Go to 347 to drop Adv.Nav.Sat.' nothing else happens (apart from the fact that you can't actually get a real Adv.Sat in you cargo hold, it turns into a normal sat.)
If this is so, I think it should be in the FAQ?

btw, the various UI improvements make the game flow better :)
(esp. mouse cursor state, shipyard scroll pos, station announcment toggle)

Oh dear - sorry to be the (AFAIK) negative commenter here - but...

I have been playing using a highly scripted and modded game

DDRS Ship mods
Cycrows script package
Anakis Carrier commands

and a few more ...

I went through the plot and was rather dissapointed at having to tow a yacht for one and a half hours with little - relief - just a small fight that was over before is began.
The yacht was a total mess of 'gooey' looking graphics covering most of the screen - couldn't see where I was going.

When I finally got the new HQ - I parked it next to the one I already had - Deadly's HQ - they are identical.

Oh and the M3 I was given - I chose the Split one (Chalma or Chamiera or some such) had no weapons bays - a speed of about 60 and a cargo bay I believe of about 15 !
It seems v2 cannot be played with the various scripts and mods - they all interfere with one-another

Good job I saved my original before installing the update ...

For now I'll get back to my original game - I've gotten too far to restart from scratch - will have to leave Bala Gi for another time :cry:

No, the Nova Raider was mistakenly GIVEN an extra shield in 1.4. This has been corrected.

You can, if you can find and capture one, use the Pirate Nova Raider. It still has 3 shields. Plus, the Spray and Paint function of the HQ is much more vibrant with the original Pirate paint jobs (ie, you can get more and brighter colors with it).

2.0 is NOT compatible with any ship/factory/dock mod. This means:

XFP
XTended
etc...

You have to wait until the mod authors put out updated versions to support 2.0.

There are also other mod that change some of the Types files that will also be in trouble because of changes in those files for 2.0.

Be patient with the Modders, this just came out, and they haven't had a chance to see the changes yet. :D

not sure what u mean by another, but thats always how it should have been.

there was a mistake in one of the patches gives it 3 instead.

most likly the reason the stations are the same is that DDRS added thier station in the same place as the one from the patch, so the DDRS has actually overwritten the HQ.

the same as the new ships wont be in the game when playing DDRS.

the only ship mod that will work with 2.0 is the ShipCreator, the others have to be converted by the authors first

Hmm, that is a shame that 2.0 is not compatible with sripts. I do not use many scripts, just two from Cycrow, one for automatic ore mining and one for automatic weopn exchange in turrets. But all these are good, I do not wish to get rid of them.

The Scripts should not be affected. Just Mods are in danger of causeing trouble.

Wonderful! It was quite odd that the Raider had a price drop in 1.4 without any loss in performance. Am I correct that the Nova Sentinel has regained its fourth shield (also mysteriously 'borrowed' by earlier patch)?

Sounds like the paintjob of the Pirate Raider now has real protective value. :wink:

One thing is sure: the old Nova-Mamba arguments are now deprecated. 8)

Hmm, in this case I will backup my savegames and install the 2.0 patch. I hope it will work as I have been playing one game for over a year now and I have a nice and rich empire.

Oh and good news about those Novas. May I ask if the Orca's back turret has also been fixed?

As far as I know. All turret issues have been resolved. You only need to change sectors in 2.0 for the fix to take effect on Player ships.

Since installing 2.0 i have found the game runs with a slight jerkiness which was not there with the last patch any one else found this ,the old one

Ahem, the Nova Raider. I had some from pre-2.0.01. They have three shields installed, although their details say two. I did use the remote transporter to take all shields out and then transferred them back (OOS). The Raider still got three installed shields. :evil:

I could now uninstall the patch, use 1.4.03 and buy a massive three-shield Nova Raider fleet and then reupdate.

It is the same as with my Nova Sentinels. All my Sentinels I bought in 1.2 and 1.3 still have 4 shields in 1.4.03 But if you wish to cheat this way, it is your decision.

I've installed 2.01 when i loaded a save the auction of Avarice started with a bid of 600million credit, when i only had about 12million credits in my account and in the factories... Does it have a time limit? Or they sell the sector before i even have a chance to get 600mill.
