[BUG] Dynamic Reputation gain/loss not consistent

Post by PDS001Sniper » Mon, 17. May 21, 16:56

There are some weird dynamic reputation issues.

Except Xenon, Pirate, Yaki. Other major factions are close to max out.

Argon: PFederation Marshall + 7
Boron: Queen's Protectorate + 7
Paranid: Seeker of the Holy Light + 9
Split: Family Enemy - 3
Teladi: Company Director + 10
Goner: Holy Order of the Goners + 9
Terran - Planetary Senator + 7

Weird things I have noticed:

1. Paranid is not moving. I haven't deliberately tried piss them off but it is not moving or moving very slowly. Doesn't seems to be affected by other races.

2. After completing any Boron missions; I receive major rep loss from all opposite faction. (Literarily from + 7 to -3)

3. Split went from + 7 to -3 after I killed some Xenons at Argon space. Also agent rep boost went from positive boost to negative boost for Split.
For example, currently I'm 10% Family Enemy. Use agent would make it 60% Family Enemy.

I was farming Paranid rep during the first prologue plot. Not sure if that bricked the system. Anyone noticed any weird bugs like this?
Let me know if my save is needed to troubleshoot...

the notoriety system is not linear, there are alot more points in the higher ranks, than in the lower.

The biggest issue is the large amount of points you gain from missions when you are in the high ranks.

at rank 9, you will be gaining 100'000-300'000 points per mission
you lose 30% of that to their enemies, but 30% of 100'000 is still 30'000, which is the same amount of points as rank 7. So in the lowest end, this will drop you from rank 7 to rank 0

1.1 RC1 made some adjustments to the amount you gain, some more will be made in the next update

Got it thanks. Its just appears to be behaving weird for me.

At one point I was + 9 with Argon and Paranid. It shouldn't be possible.
But anyway, good to know it will be adjusted in the coming up patch.

I have been farming mission in Teladi space only. Dynamic rep is not for me lol

Even for 'negative' ranks, a higher % means you're closer to ranking up, ergo having more positive relations.
Changing to 60% Family Enemy makes you closer to neutral, not more of an enemy.

Thanks for clarifying that. I will give it a try tonight.
