NEWS: X³: Reunion enters Beta Test

We are pleased to announce that the beta test programme for X³: Reunion has now started. This is a major milestone on the way to release, and also an opportunity for DevNet members to get involved.

If you are a DevNet member and NDA-holder, and have some free time that you would be able to contribute to serious beta testing, you are invited to visit the L5 DevNet forums, read what will be required of you, and sign up for testing in the appropriate forum thread.

If you are a DevNet member but have not yet sent in an NDA, or have sent one in but not heard back, then I'm afraid you will probably have to wait until next time around.

Note that to allow the DevNet team more time to help with the beta test programme, the DevNet ideas forums will now be locked until X³ is released.

Yeah fab news. Usually beta testing only lasts about a month or 2. So we should see X3, provided theres no major bug fixes during beta, in a few months and should be in my er our hands :) in late october which mighty behold is what is the expected release date hehe.

If not then meh im dreaming please dont spoil it i rarely dream these days :D

Omg, I never past mission 5 in X2 and X3 is so soon... I need to hurry (I'm currently restarting this great game :D )

This is good news for those who are just dying to get X3 as soon as it's released.

I wonder if XFX will offer X3 with the 7800GT next year? It currently ships with X2.

Not as cool as one might think, if you are indeed lucky enough to beta test, and depending on the stability of the code at this present time, you might end up restarting the game oh a few hundred times just to make sure that bug you found is definetly squashed ;)

At the end of beta testing, you might end up getting sick of playing it :P

Oh and Congrats EGOSOFT! its a big step from conecptulalisation to alpha to beta testing! goodluck and lets hope the bugs are killed!

I would prefer the beta's to FIND it :P especially if it is a CTD

I'd love to help with the testing but I'm only a rookie at that sort of stuff. Not to mention that I haven't finished the plot for the threat. I wish the testers the best of luck.
A new rig is in my hands now if only there was time...

Congratulations on reaching the beta stage. I wish you all the best in smoothening out any irregularities that may be there.

I'm realy looking forward to X3 with great anticipation just as I did with X-btf, X-Tension and X2.
